I received an alert yesterday, a trophy for being on ECC for 6 months. (!) Wow. Time flies. It seems only yesterday that I wrote up a post for my 3 months (Read on). So what's happened since January 1st? Kicking off the new year, war erupted on ECC between Bremen and OstBerlin as forces led by pbrassat17 faced off against the army and allies of welikeike22. It was a really fascinating conflict that tons of ECC players teleported in to participate. The event actually inspired me to make a periodic periodical for ECC (Read more). After a long wait, on January 24th Rising finally landed on EcoCityCraft. andrewkm released a map of the new Rising world, and a new map of the Legacy world. I approximated a grid over the maps to help with navigation (Read more). When Rising landed, many users immediately set out at maximum speed to make towns in the new biomes. I really wanted to get a town or two as well. welikeike22 and blowtube123 both helped me find and setup posts for towns in mesa and ice spike biomes. I am so very pleased to be able to protect 80,000 surface blocks of these wonderful biomes, and I am so thankful for Ike and Blowtube's help. In early February, love was in the air as ECC users discovered they could use netherstars to make a special lore item -- their "hearts" and could give them to one another. I believed that since the alchemist developer KHobbits had something to do with all this, that if I collected enough hearts, maybe I could transmute them into something amazing. I managed to buy a large quantity, but even to this day I have not discovered the secret for transmuting them. A few days after, users started noticing that the name tags above their heads were colored! It was truely amazing and fun. andrewkm released a plan to reboot the exp and enchanting market, and while many were gathered at Rising Spawn to witness the construction of the server exp shop, jakeyray18 sent me an image of myself... "OnSceneReporte", with the standard issue Steve skin?! OMG. Where was megaman?! It seemed that the system that allowed for the colored names cut off names that were too long, and as a result, the custom skin was not showing. Not too long later a fix was instituted, and I was feeling like new. In March, the PVP arena build competition was announced. Several teams entered the fray. I joined a team with Stolio, Joseph01234, welikeike22, Joliver1998, annyonion, Unknownrider, WeirdBuilder, and Maco20047. We spent a good deal of time devising a plan of what to do -- came up with several actually -- and got to building. I'm sure there are tons of things I have forgotten that happened in these last three months. I'l try to keep better notes for the next three. <3 EcoCityCraft
