Okay, so today we had this big race / fun run for the people of my town. There were ~500 people there (should have been more, but the little elementary school kids were on a Field Trip). We go through all the races, 1mile for 8 and under, 1mile for 9-12, then we reach the 5K race. This was the one I raced in. These guys, as funny as it may seem, were literally breathing down my neck. They wanted to get by me, and they wanted to get by me as fast as possible. They had obviously been training the whole YEAR for this (annual event) and were ready as ever. Believe it or not, none of those guys came in 1st, 2nd, or 3rd. In fact, all of the people that placed in those places were students, probably 22 or under, except one guy. I remember the times clearly- 3rd place had 18:36 (6:12 for a mile!!) 2nd place had 18:11 (about 6:03 for a mile!!) 1st place had a whopping 17 minutes (5:06 for a mile!!!!!) I find this quite amazing, as my town is a very small town with not much it is known for, and it is overall not known much at all. Anyway, that's all I have to say. (In case you wondered, I placed about 12th with 21:54.)
I've timed myself running a mile before. I can do 1 mile in just over 7 minutes. Pretty good considering I never leave my house...
I'm training athletics so.. But you had a very nice time! Why don't you start to train athletics and improve your time alot, thats what I did! It's very fun when yousee how you get faster and faster
Im the fastest long distance in my year. Last week on out track I ran my record of 6.19 for a mile. After seeing a guy who ran in under 6 mins I no longer feel special Sent from my GT-I9300 using Tapatalk 4 Beta
