Hi ECC, I'd like to host a weekly giveaway contest here on the forums in order to give back to the community that has given me so much over these last few months. How it'll work is each week I'll be holding a new giveaway with 3 winners. The prizes are the following; --------------------------------------------------------------------------- 1st Place Winner: 15,000$ (won by oreo1227)2nd Place Winner: 10,000$ (won by Mr_Doom_Bringer)3rd Place Winner: 64 diamonds + 128 Iron Ingots (won by @Specter01)--------------------------------------------------------------------------- Winners are selected and announced on Sunday, so make sure to have your applications in by then! IGN: Rank(s): Why do you think you should be chosen as a winner?: What do you plan on using the money/resources for?: Other: For those of you who would like to know how the selection works, let me explain to you! I'll be using a point system to "grade" each and every applicant. There's a maximum score of 30 Points. You'll be able to receive 15 Points for the "Why do you think you should be chosen as a winner?" question, 10 Points for the "What do you plan on using the money/resources for?" question, and 5 Points for the amount of effort put into the application (I generally want to avoid 2 word answers). Now most giveaways I have seen are usually won by staff members. I love the staff team here, and fully appreciate what they do for the server, but I don't want to always be giving prizes to staff, this giveaway is meant for the whole server. Therefore, I'll be giving staff members a bonus of 5 points. This way they receive credit for the contribution to the server without causing too much of an imbalance. Feedback is greatly appreciated! What do you plan on using the money/recources for?: if I win the money I will save up to get teleport if I get the resources I will make some gear then use the rest to build some houses in my town. I'm not much of a gambling addict, pvp master, or any of that insane stuff. I collect money simply to build. I mean, that's Minecraft, right? I will take any amount of money given to me and try to make the best with what I have to it and add more to the map besides a farm.What do you plan on using the money/resources for?: I plan to use the money to build a daycare center next to my portal at RhenVar to help some people on our server learn more about education and how better it would be if we could all get along. IGN:SimonSib Ranks:Resident Why do you think you should be chosen as a winner: Because I try to be nice to the community, don't have one complaint against me, but other than that, I'm no different from everyone else, and I would consider it and honer if you would chose me. what do you plan on using the money/Resources for:Every cent will go to my mayor fund which currently is at 70k, none of it will go to lottery because, i have never once played lottery, and don't plan to do so. Also, might I add, that wether you give me the money or not, in my town you will be added to my love wall for always being so kind and responding to my posts. IGN: oreo1227 Rank(s): Mayor, $$$ soon to be $$$$, pilot, survivor Why do you think you should be chosen as a winner?: I wouldn't be using the money for myself What do you plan on using the money/resources for?: I plan on using money for paying off a melon sword because my friend lost his, and I want to get the money for him to buy another because I care a lot about him and want him to stay on the server. If I get the resources I would consider selling them to get money to pay for said melon sword. I am devoting all my money toward that thing and every little bit helps. IGN: Pdegnan1 Rank(s):Resident Why do you think you should be chosen as a winner?: I have worked hard on farming and mining and probably have earned enough if it wasnt for being the most unlucky lottery person ever(lost 20k to 1 ticket) and been scammed of 7k and lost 20k of armor and pvp stuff walking around in mining world and falling into a deep hole. The main reason why I want the money is so I can do basic economy tasks, but also so I can give some back to the community.What do you plan on using the money/resources for?: Half the money would likely be kept for basic economic needs, and the other half would likely be given away at various times to builders who need resident or etc. As for resources, I would probably sell the iron to Revanrose6 for project Normandy, and keep the diamonds for myself. Lately I've been getting into farming and earning money in different ways, and I believe I could put the 25k into good use. What do you plan on using the money/resources for?: Well currently I'm buying all the netherstars I can for a melon sword, and this 25k would be a huge boost! I play daily, usually farming, mining, or building farms. Occasionally after I win a big lottery, I would give some away to the community.
