I'm building a very large (built on a 50x60 plot) Hotel/Highrise speciallizing in very large spacious suites. Here is the work so far, just base construction, no finishing touches yet. Front Entrance and Courtyard Balconies along the front An idea of the shear mass of this thing Just inside the front doors Lobby and staircase Fireplaces in the lobby
For so much cobblestone... It looks amazing. Just goes to show you cobblestone in large numbers looks great if done right.
I was thinking the same thing as I was building it, but very little of the inside it made with cobblestone, and I didn't want to make the outside too crazy looking.
It is in BirchBay. I havent really decided yet and since this is my first time building something to rent out I'll have to figure it out when it is finished. On the first floor they will probably go for about 250-500 per week, as it goes up, they get nicer, and much much bigger. The largest so far is about 20 blocks high and 2 floors, and so far have cost me about 5000 just to construct. I'll post pictures of the apartments that are finished so you guys can give me ideas for prices as well as changes.
More pictures I took this evening of the iterior and different apartments. First Floor and the smallest: Second Floor Stairwell: Second Floor Apartment: Largest Apartment so far with 2 levels, 2 balconies, massive windows, 4 fireplaces.
Very nice. join forces with me I need a project partner for a 4 town castle/keep fortress with surrounding houses. If you go mayor build on the borders and incorporate it. Town of Endor green section station 1. Why not build on a 400x400 plot instead?!
I have added a new addition to the interior of my structure. This new apartment is by far the largest I have built and cost almost as much to build as the entire rest of the house did. It boasts 2 floors, massive ceiling height, 4 balconies, 8 fireplaces, and ample room to do whatever a purchaser may please. Let me know what you guys think. Front Entrance. Interior from the front door. Lower living area with 4 fireplaces. Upper living areas. From the upstairs looking down.
Been a while since I have worked on this place, and I think its closer to 1 million blocks and counting now. I reached the top, the very top is at 255 I believe, so its as tall as it's going to get. The top 60 will be 2 towers, and 2 penthouses. They are enormous to say the least. Here is 1, still working on it, but you get the idea. From the ground, actually from the portal. From the opposited end of the tower, this is 1/2 of the top, 1 of the apartments.
The interior of the first tower penthouse is finished, as well as another regular one. So far 3 are sold. The first set is the smaller one. And here is the monstrosity that is the Penthouse Tower #1. Hope you guys like it. Its 4 floors, very large, and a huge dome glass ceiling on the top floor. Second Floor: Third Floor: Top Floor:
I like the glass dome on top. I tried to creat something like that in singleplayer once. i quit and decided to make a glass dome covering about a 300x300 area. it looked pretty cool until a friend of mine deleted the world.
I like the top part of the tower, how it goes in sections before dwindling towards a large glass dome. The interior is very well done, and you said you sucked at interiors However, I do have several suggestions. They are most likely too late to add onto your skyscraper at that current stage, but it's something to keep in mind for your next build. -Try to vary up the materials used on the outside of the tower a bit. It adds more character and variety to the building. Don't worry about costs, make a post on the building you want to make and donations will pour in. -Although cobble looks good in large amounts and is extremely cheap, I am hesitant to use this material for my construction projects due to its texture and color, even when viewed from afar. It looks great, but some substitutes, such as snow, wool, sandstone, smooth stone, and birch planks might look even better. -The dome might look better with supports to give it a more realistic look. Also, you might want a rooftop observation platform, I'm sure your guests are interested in the view the building has to offer. -These rooms are worth a lot more than you're going for! The larger rooms are worth at least 10k a week for rent and up to 60-70k for perms. People are willing to pay big money for pretty structures. -Boost the property value by building nice, pretty buildings and great scenery. Add some green parks, a nice little river and a waterfall, and a nice little village at the base, and people will love it. Those are my tips, hope you found those helpful!
