Detailed Description: I had a sign purchasing 64 melon slices for $16 with a starting balance of $32000 I know at least 6400 had been purchased before the sign disappeared. The sign was on the east face of an sbrick located at x:3517, y:65, z:699 The sign was locked by me using /cprivate I had a sign purchasing 64 pumkpins for $30 with a starting balance of $15000 I know at least 64 pumpkins had been purchased before the sign disappeared, though I do not remember the exact amount. If there is any way for the items or balance (ideally both) to be returned to be, please let me know. Evidence: The only screenshot I can show at this point would be the place where the signs used to be. I invested $47000 into the signs, however, I don't know how I can provide evidence of this myself. I know that multiple people have used the signs, and am certain that I can find someone who remembers the signs if necessary. When I placed blank signs in the place where the trade signs used to be, the message "Sign unregistered" appeared, despite the fact that no sign was present as far as I could tell. I hired an investigator, the investigator found no record of these trade-signs having been broken. I have logged in and out on 3 separate days and the signs have not reappeared. Well first I would like to inform you that it is not possibly to lock trade signs at this time with /lock or /cprivate. Next, if the town is not yours the town mayor may have filed a trade sign removal application, in which case wewinagain may have destroyed. Could you tell me when you hired the investigator, and possibly when the signs were broken.
I was unaware that I couldn't lock signs with /cprivate. Does that mean that anyone with permission to an area can steal the contents of trade signs? If so, I've made a stupid mistake and apologize for wasting your time. The town that the signs were located in is mine. I have 1 co-mayor, however they are still a resident. My only co-mayor did not apply for an lwc removal as far as I could find on the forums. Here is a link to his forum profile: http://www.ecocitycraft.com/forum/members/kevex101.14963/. The only post he has made was to apply for resident. If he did apply for an lwc removal, he did not contact me regarding the removal. I noticed the signs were gone on the morning of Friday, June 7th. I don't know for sure that they were broken. One odd thing I noticed was when I placed a sign where the signs used to be, a red "Sign unregistered" appeared. The signs went missing, whether because they were broken or just plain disappeared, sometime between the evening of June 6th and the morning of June 7th. I hired the investigator on Saturday June 8th. I believe the user that performed the investigation was "deluaco". I paid them $1000 for the investigation. Thank you again for your time.
Were the trade signs on other signs, sand, gravel, leafs, ice, or anything else that is affected by minecraft physics?
No, neither sign was on a block that should have been affected by Minecraft physics. One sign was on the east face of a smooth brick located at x:3517, y:65, z:698. The other sign was on the east face of a smooth brick located at x:3517, y:65, z:699.
They were in a town of which I am an owner. I go into more detail about this in the third post of this thread. I used /cprivate on them, however, I was informed (earlier in this thread) that /cprivate doesn't work on trade signs.
Actually it works, but, the issue is a trade sign already is privated so only the sign maker can break it. Only WeWinAgain or AndrewKM can go around the protections on a trade sign. (Except to this is if it is placed on a block subjected to gravity)
Bumping this thread because I am still hoping to resolve this issue. I fear that any server logs proving that what I'm saying is true will be gone soon if they are not gone already.
Which logs did you check? I knew when I posted this thread that nothing would be in the block logs. Are money or money transfers logged in any way? What about chat logs? For several days I directed many users to use the signs. I described the signs in detail to a few.
