    Suggestion: Add a warning, possibly with toggle on/off messages, for the item butcher that happens every 15 minutes.

    Reason: I've lost so so many wooden logs and so much stone because I can't pick it up fast enough after my tree feller or mining run. I've seen ores poof out of sight right after mining them as I jump down to get them.

    Any Other Information: I know someone who threw their star tool for a repair and lost it to the butcher. Many people throw their tools for repairs. I know that the tool thing can be avoided but I can literally not pick up my tree feller drops fast enough even with help. A warning would help to know when it's safe.

    100% agree - even worse is when all my saplings just *poof* and I have to take the time to "steal" from my reserves just to replant. And yes DC, this is in rising and I have seen butcher in legacy as well. A warning would be greatly appreciated as it seems to have increased lately.

    I think the same - I still suspect a vanilla bug I know of that relates to fast despawning. In this case, a butcher messages wouldn't work since it's a MC problem... if it actually is butcher, +1.

    Interesting point Pi - Is there any recommendations or fixes if it is a vanilla bug? As a community is it possible we are doing something that can cause this?

    If it's the vanilla bug - MC itself would mess up the despawn times. A fix? Chests, that's all.

    Well, most of the time people drop things like picks, shovels, etc :p

    So money isn't being taken out of the economy, it's just the tools that are being taken out.

    Granted.... It helps the tool market I suppose...

    So, that justifies me losing my star tools among other things? There's a difference between helping the economy and having players losing million-dollar items and quitting.
