Do my eyes decieve me? Nay! It is true, the Forum Medal does not lie! As of May 19th, 2014, I have been apart of this community for a full year! What an awesome experience it has been! I've gone from a new Builder to a successful Mayor, a Mayor to a Staff member, and a Staff member to a President. A grand epic has unfolded, one which must be retold! Here is the story of the lone Falcon that has wandered the lands of EcoCityCraft... Spoiler: The Story of Falcon - Warning: You may be blinded by the wall of text Builder to Mayor I remember my first day very clearly. I started just like everyone else on ECC; completely lost and dirt poor. After the initial intimidation of the 300 players online (it was the most people I'd seen on a server at the time), I realized how much ECC had to offer, and quickly delved into the long pages of the Wiki. Encouraged by my new-found knowledge, I mined... A lot. After 4 hours, I had acquired a good set of tools and 15,000$. I was ecstatic at my wealth, and promptly filed my Resident Application. 18 hours after I joined, I was the newest Resident on ECC, what a proud day it was! Ah, but my ambition for power had not been sated. I continued the backbreaking work of the mines, compiling a fortune of ores and gems. I spoke not a word during my silent quest; my drive to succeed was too strong for such petty inconveniences. Finally, after my vault was piled high with precious objects, I was rich enough to become a Mayor of ECC. I failed 3 times at becoming a Mayor, I always managed to screw something up with my application. However, 2 weeks after joining, I finally joined the ranks of the elite, the strong, the Mayors. Mayor to President Now that my quest to acquire an acceptable rank was complete, I released myself from my silent vigil. I spoke my first word on the server (Hello). I worked with quiet intensity on my town, keeping to myself for the most part. But then... I made my first friend, Mr_Doom_Bringer. New as we were, me and Doom made an instant connection, immediately talking about subjects that are too explicit to mention here. After an hour of conversation, we parted, lost to each other for many months to come. I continued my expedition to create an esteemed pre-built Medieval town, inspired by the kindness of SolaceDevotio and loyalty of my first residents, SuperFawful64 and Enderlord1297. I met more and more players through my town, nicoviacava1210, williamannin, Pdegnan1, MCHelix3000, Avowin, and many more quickly became my best of friends. As my love and dedication for ECC grew, I set my mind to Staff, making my first Application in August. Upset by my rejection, I strove for more ways to prove my worth and give back to the community. I hosted my first Giveaway, opened up Jobs for Aquila, established builder-exclusive towns, assisted in chat, guided Builders, performed free donation services, and overall became a prominent member of the community. Ranking up to President, I finally felt that I had established myself well enough to be worthy of Moderator. And so it was, I applied for Mod in October and was accepted. Staff Making the Staff team was my most treasured accomplishment on ECC. Within 5 minutes of being promoted, I had already been called to solve a dispute between two players. For the first few days, I was completely overwhelmed. I had the opportunity to serve the server as I always had wished to do. The amount of interaction I had with the community was amazing; I got to meet new people everyday. It was a blessing to work alongside the rest of the team. I remember @zedoker and @Revanrose6's ever-patient coaching, @Physicistsmom hilarious jokes, and @cracker228989's adorabru entry into the team. One of the most memorable moments while on the team was Christmas; logging on to find presents from the rest of the community was an amazing experience. I remember the long hours I spent farming and mining to accumulate the 1.2million ECD's required to pay for the Christmas Giveaway. Oh, the memories. President to Current After I resigned, I've come to terms with being a nubby President, and have enjoyed every moment with the members of ECC. The companionship that grew between me and @Primzey, new friends like @MIR121, @minecraftninja05, and on and on. I really have learned to appreciate my friends more, for they are what inspire, support, and help me when I need it most. I couldn't be where I am today without the help of the ECC community. Ah, there is so much to be thankful for here on ECC. I owe every part of my character to those who have supported me throughout my time here. Those who have stuck by me through thick in thin; I am forever in your debt. Acknowledgements To recognize those who mean the world to me on ECC. @Mr_Doom_Bringer - You get the first spot on the list. You have truly been my most dedicated friend. You were there for me in the very beginning. I had my first real conversation with you, and I'll always remember you for that (even though we disagree on the dates ). I cannot thank you enough for all the support you've given me; you always manage to brighten my mood. Much luv <3 @williamannin - My most faithful Co-Mayor. I have put a lot of weigh on your shoulder, I have counted on you to always get the job done. You are one of the most mature, benevolent, and sound characters I've met on ECC. Your efforts within Aquila and otherwise have truly been a huge help to me. @cracker228989 - Though I have not spoken to you in a long time, you have always been good to me. I enjoyed our Skype conversations beyond your comprehension, and I learned to love your innocence and kind character. I do not know anyone, in-game or IRL, that could make me feel so at ease when I spoke. Thank you for all the good times and thoughtful conversation. @Primzey - Despite our falling out, you have been a great companion. Our long rants together always had a way of relieving some of the stress of the day, and let me focus my emotions. I thank you for the long period of companionship we had, you were a beacon for me on ECC for a time. @nicoviacava1210 - I have never met a kinder soul than yourself. I am in awe of the patience and benevolence you indiscriminately display towards others. You have always embraced me in your kindness, and your assistance has gone a long way in developing my own character. Thank you. @MCHelix3000, @Avowin, @Caitlin_Crime, @DiamondDesire - All of you are players I have deep respect for. Some of my most fond memories on ECC are with you. Helix with our initial friendship and now Clash of Clans fun. Avowin and Caitlin with your playful times within Aquila, and Diamond for your lasting friendship. I still remember when you moved into Aquila, that was quite the fun time xD @zedoker, @Revanrose6, @Gogoplatau - For coaching me to become a better and more mature Staff member. Your guidance is very much so appreciated. @oreo1227, @partyman909, @BackToThePast, @minecraftninja05, @OnSceneReporter, @killerluke95 - For being an amazing group of people that I had the honor of getting to know and becoming friends with. I could tag a hundred people and still have hundreds more to thank. So, thank you, the community of EcoCityCraft. This server means the world to me, and the friendships and memories I have forged here will last a lifetime. Tl:dr - Luv you ECC <3
