Denied 1 Ticket only lotto's

Brilliant idea! This gives everyone an equal shot at the money and its all luck

 

This is gonna be really good and everyone will have a chance to compete equally but... Is this going to be possible?

 

• If you buy 1 ticket in a game where 9 other people buy 1 ticket each, the probability to win is 1/10, but what you would win is 8.5k, therefore your average win is 0.85k.
• If you buy 1 ticket in a game where 9 other people buy a total of 999 tickets, the probability to win is 1/1000, but what you would win is 850k, therefore your average win is... again 0.85k.
• No matter how you play, your expected win per ticket will always be 0.85k. That's a mathematical certainty.

I'm not explicitly against this suggestion, but I just find it a pointless way at self-deceiving into self-defeating behavior, and builders should be discouraged to play lotto.
Lotto is an extraordinary way to waste lots of cash, therefore it's a pointless hobby for ridiculously wealthy players who have no actual use for their money and decide to do a favor to the server's economy reducing the amount of ecd going around. Lotto is not for people who want to make money, because it's a dump of money.

 

This. Builders should never be encouraged to lotto. Lotto is for the rich to lose lots of money. Not for poor builders.

If everyone only has 1 ticket, and there are 100 tickets, someone will win 85k while everyone else loses. Someone always loses in lotto and money is always taken out. Just because everyone has 1 ticket doesn't make that any different. Not saying it should be added, but still, you aren't losing anymore money then you would have.

 

Ok, I phrased it poorly.
Technically it doesn't make him lose more money per ticket. (this could also be inferred from my earlier coment)
However, if that gives him the illusion he has a slightly higher chance to win, he will be more likely to buy "just one ticket" more often, therefore losing more money, because he's tricked into buying more tickets in a day.
The fact that around the world there are so many different ways to gamble with very elaborate rules is just smoke and mirrors to hide the fact that you still lose money. It's just a way to trick your guts into believing that "come on, there must be a higher chance to win if I play this game!" while the math is begging for your attention yelling "don't, you dumbass, it doesn't make a damn difference!".
Nobody's guts can do math, neither mine, that's why I struggle every day not to trust them and prefer to rely on my knowledge. Sadly, too many knowledgeable people fall prey to their own guts, regardless.

This suggestion shouldn't be denied for the fact that the builders will lose money in lottery. No matter the rank if you play lotto you are risking money and potentially set up for loss. Currently, builders are given information quite a lot about lotto, I constantly see them ask questions wondering the cost and how to play ETC. Like Crazy Lottos & 1v1 lotto's builders and other players are warned about the risks and the costs of lottery and this should be treated the same!

 

Don't forget there are still players with fair amount of money wants to play it too, at least most are aware to not to play too much.

 

I'm not against this suggestion, as I don't think people should be protected from their own foolishness. I was just stating the obvious truth that, if you're a builder eager to make money and you play lotto despite people advising against that for very good reasons, then you're an actual fool.

 

I guess most should be aware enough to not to play lotto when it costs like 10% of your total net balance.

If not they really are a fool.

Eh, anyways I want to see this implemented so I can actually have some fun in gambling with others who got the same balance/income range or even equally by all players, assuming they buy 1 lottery ticket each.
