Hello everybone, by now I have been asked so many times about how to install the macro mod. I couldn't find anything like this on the forum, so I decided to make a tutorial. However, I will also add the optional part: "Use Macro and the ECC minimap at the same time" Forge is not available for 1.10 yet, this thread will be updated once Forge and the Minimap have been updated. Ignore any Windows tutorial sections in [brackets] or marked with (2). Windows/Linux only, I have absolutely no idea how to do it on Mac. A Linux tutorial that includes a minimap may be added in the future. What you will need: Required: Liteloader: http://jenkins.liteloader.com/view/1.10/job/LiteLoaderInstaller 1.10 - Latest successful artifact (Either .exe or .jar, I prefer .jar.) Macro mod: http://eq2.co.uk/minecraft/mods/ - click on the file that starts with mod_macros_ and ends with _for_1.10.litemod and download it. Optional: http://files.minecraftforge.net - 1.9.4 version. Recommended build: 1930* (Either .exe or .jar, I prefer .jar.) http://minecraft.curseforge.com/projects/journeymap-32274/files/2303349 - Journeymap 1.9.4. * 1930 has been tested by myself, other versions may not work. Spoiler: Windows - Macros and optional minimap How to install (NOTE: Orders in [brackets] show optional steps if you want to have both mods at the same time, else ignore. Blue refers to differences in the installation process. Execute step (1) if you only want macros, refer to (2) instead if you want both macros and the minimap.) [Run the forge installer .jar, "Install client".] (1) Run the liteloader installer. Select "Install liteloader". (2) Run the liteloader installer. Select "Extract liteloader". Open the run console with WindowsKey+R, enter %appdata%/.minecraft/mods. If it doesn't exist yet, create a new folder labeled 1.10. [Go back to the .minecraft folder and move the extracted liteloader .jar file into the 1.10 mods folder.] Drag and drop the downloaded .litemod file [and the minimap .jar] into the mods folder. Start the Minecraft launcher and select the profile you named it as in the liteloader installer [or select the profile called "forge" that was created by the forge installer.] (Select the profile in the bottom left corner of the launcher) If you (or i) didn't miss a step, you should now be able to use the macro mod [and the minimap at the same time]. Spoiler: Linux (Tested with Ubuntu) - Macros Note: There are other ways, but this is a way to install it via the terminal. (Yes, I like the terminal.) (Assuming that all files you download are at ~/Downloads). cd ~/Downloads ls java -jar liteloader-installer-1.10-00-SNAPSHOT.jar (The name may differ depending on the version, that's why I added ls to see the name.) ("Extend from" should be the current Minecraft version. You can give the profile any name you like.) cd ~/.minecraft ls (If a "mods" folder appears when using ls, skip the next line.) mkdir mods cd mods ls (If a "1.10" folder appears when using ls, skip the next line.) mkdir 1.10 mv ~/Downloads/mod_macros_0.13.0_for_1.10.litemod ./1.10/ (The name may differ depending on the version, see the first ls in the Downloads folder above) Start Minecraft, select the Liteloader profile you created. If you didn't miss a step, you should now be able to use the macro mod. Spoiler: Archive for 1.8 What you will need Required: http://jenkins.liteloader.com/job/LiteLoaderInstaller/ - 1.8 BETA Liteloader Macro mod betaBETA/WIP: http://eq2.co.uk/minecraft/mods/prerelease/mod_macros_0.11.1_beta2_mc1.8.litemod - 1.8 version, taken from an author post in the same thread. Optional: Forge mod loader (http://files.minecraftforge.net - Search for the latest stable 1.8. -> Installer-Win) ECC minimap (http://ci.sinndevelopment.com/job/EcoCityCraft Minimap/7/artifact/build/libs/ECCMinimap-1.8-2.2.5.jar) How to install (NOTE: Orders in [brackets] show optional steps if you want to have both mods at the same time, else ignore.) [1. Run the forge installer .exe, "Install client".] 2. Run the liteloader installer. Select "Install liteloader" and the forge .jar for optional install or normal .jar for only macro. Leave the profile name as it is or change as you like. 3. Open the run console with WindowsKey+R, enter %appdata%/.minecraft/mods and don't forget the . before minecraft. [4. Create a new folder labeled 1.8, this will prevent the game from crashing if using forge on an older/newer version.] 5. Drag and drop the .litemod file and the minimap .jar into the folder [you just created]. 6. Start the Minecraft launcher and select the profile you named it as in the liteloader installer. (Select profile in bottom left corner) If you (or I) didn't miss a step, you should now be able to use the macro mod [and the minimap at the same time]. If you still have any questions/problems, PM me ingame or on the forum.
I will update as soon as the map mod is updated. Forge is ready, macro is ready. (I'd be using 1.8 because of macro if it weren't for the minimap in 1.7)
Hi 314, If you could do a similar tutorial for 1.8 it would be great. I am sure people could make money by physically helping people install mods via teamviewer. I would pay someone in eec $ to help me install macros especially the macrokey mod. Nudge, nudge, wink ,wink lol
1. To be exact, the installation is the same for 1.8. Just exclude the minimap parts because they are not 1.8 yet. 2. What is teamviewer? 3. If you need help, contact me ingame.
i dont mean to necro, but i suppose this is important. if i download 1.8 liteloader and 1.7.10 macro mod this will work right?
Dunno if you can read crash reports, but this keep happening when I have the macromod with liteloader and forge.
Everything goes right up until this point... it stops right as it's done loading, could this mean that I need to dedicate more ram? Because I'm temporarily using a junky computer while my good one is being revamped.
When I downloaded lite loader it was an installer that installed it directly into a profile. Because of this, #5 is impossible. Edit: I think that in step 5 instead of the .liteloader it should be the Macro mod.
I followed all of the steps and everything but macro is working. Lite loader is in the mods page on the mine craft home screen. I put the macro file in the 1.8 folder in the mods file. Any ideas?
