Its come to my attention that a number of items from the redstone update have STILL not been added. Hoppers, TNT minecarts, droppers, hopper minecarts, and daylight sensors and redstone comparators haven't been added. personaly i think hoppers could solve a lot of problems with donation chest trolling and tnt minecarts could make some fun nether contraptions. I think theyve been tested for a little long, no? I'm sure a lot of other people have asked this in pms but ill make a thread. LIKE IF YOU AGREE
Nether tnt carts can crash the game easily. You only need more than 10 or so to start crashing servers. Day light sensors are useless. Redstone comparators are still a little bit useless especially without hoppers. Hoppers would be really nice though because sorting systems would be so much nicer and with a hopper cart as well people can cook items at rates 200 times what they are right now (literally). I just don't know if this would hurt server performance or not with the increased amount of lag. Then again cooking anything would be less than a minute and I don't think more than 10 people would cook something at the same time so it's feasible. Bugs also exist and that is why some of these aren't implemented.
I agree, Andrewkm said the staff would test these items out, and then never got back to us. If it's a yes or no to these items, I'd at least like to hear a staff response.
They need to update mrbubblez and who wants to do all that redstone wiring just to light up their down at night?
I don't mean to point fingers at Andy or the staff team but, they need to get back to us, its not right to tell us I don't even know, 2 or 3 months ago that they will determine if the items will be allowed but, Andy nor any staff team members have told us. The team might just wanted us to find out ourselves. I will say this again, I'm not pointing fingers at anyone here.
I don't believe staff knows much more than we do. However, you do have a valid point, as the 1.5 announcement said the dev team was working on the items, and nothing was said after that. I think it's likely they won't be added.
I don't know about you, but I haven't even used the 1.5 items in single player at all. I don't like redstone that much, I haven't used any of them. I know nothing compared to what the staff have done. But still, they said they'd get back to us and now another update has come and no news.
Couldn't you put one daylight sensor near each cluster of lights? It would be worth it to me.. I want a baseball stadium that turns the lights on at night.
lol this is accurate most of the time. exceptions being kuke, wewin, sky, unknown, and those higher-ups
