Chapter #1 - Introduction

Hello EcoCityCraft! We're making a HandBook / Tutorial for New/Advanced players here right on EcoCityCraft. It's a fairly long Handbook, but we suggest all; no matter the rank, to read it. We've provided helpful information to make you successful in the hard way of EcoCityCraft.

We plan to provide you with all the Helpful information you need, to get you either started; or to continue down a successful path. Here at EcoCityCraft we consider all our Players not just Players; But family members, no matter the Rank!
Please note that this GuideBook/HandBook is made to our best of abilities, and mostly everything you find here will be correct, but some Errors/Mistakes may of been made; so with that we encourage you to post below to give us some Suggestions/Comments on the handbook. We hope you enjoy!

Chapter #2 - What is EcoCityCraft

EcoCityCraft is the #1 massive multiplayer economy server in minecraft. We have over 8800 members to date and keep having more come in every hour. EcoCityCraft is hardcore economy, this means no items being spawned in, no money being given away. We are hardcore. To be truly successful in our intense economy you must work hard, interact with our wonderful community and participate in trade/jobs as well as dedicate yourself to be the best! Good luck and we hope to see you at the top of the riches one day!

The server was opened to the public on April 2nd 2011, it was in development in mid May. EcoCityCraft has one of the best staffs around the Minecraft community; it also provides one of the best / cleanest community you will find on any Minecraft server. EcoCityCraft began small, and grew bigger, we're growing by the day! So, without further ado; We welcome you to Our Family, Community, and Server! And wish you the best of luck in your journies!

Chapter #3 - The Website / Forums / WikiPedia / Etcetera

The servers website is the hub all players go to for either trades, sales, help, bugs and errors, ban appeals/complaints, staff requests, forum games, and more! The Twitter site is also an easy way to get the newest information and information that is not on the website such as; nether/mining world regenerations and more!

The wiki is a great resource for all users no matter the rank or age. It contains all the information on applications and it has many wiki articles written by users like yourself! These are the largest places to get information on a short notice. Here at EcoCityCraft we also have a fully fuctional Irc chat system, which allows you to get in contact with Staff, Andrewkm (The Owner), Members, and our Developers; This is suggested if you need to contact some quickly, but they're not in-game.

When you first came to the EcoCityCraft website; you most likly saw our Front News Page; this is where all the most important / Breaking news is placed; you can look here for things such as: Applications Opening, New Ranks, New Worlds, Town Features, New Plugins, New Donation Ranks, and much much more! You can also take your self to Our Voting sites from our Main Website hub by using the tabs located at the top section of your screen.

On the website you can also Donate for all those special features; which we will get to later in the HandBook, but all that information will be listed under the 'Donations' tab. When applying for ranks; The Forums / Wikipedia will be your first come to place. This is where you'll find the Applications for; Ranks, Town Features, Staff, Wikipedia Team, and more!

You can also use our Wikipedia for extremely helpful information Regarding; Rules, Applications, Features, and more! There's a ton more things hidden around on our website, so get our there and take a look! We also encourage you to use our Forums, this is a great way to get your self known / meet new people; and keep updated with all that important News/Information.

Chapter #4 - How to get Started

The EcoCityCraft community opens new opportunities for all new players. Upon arrival at the spawn, you will be presented with rules and some guidelines. Our suggestion to you is to go straight to the Tutorial Island. The island presents you with assistance throughout many basic aspects of the game.
Once you have seen this, you are ready to see the rest of the spawn. As you explore, you will find that the area is very large and might be a little difficult to find your way around.

The 4 main portals around the spawn area contain the entrances to the town portals, Tutorial Island, the marketplace, and the PvP arena. The outer portals made of wood will warp you into the wild. This is unprotected land and will allow you to gain some basic materials.

Along the North Walkway, you will find paths to the Aether, the Mining World and the Nether (More info on those 3 in "Ranks" chapter). The East Walkway branches off into many different areas. The branches may lead you to a variety of shops and community buildings.

The West Walkway leads towards Andrewkm's (Owner) mansion and "Wallstreet". The town "Wallstreet" holds player shops to sell items if you feel like shopping at any time! The South Walkway also branches off into different shops and community buildings, similar to the East Walkway.

Alright, so now you know your basic surroundings, it's time to start your life on EcoCityCraft, which is of course; tons of fun! You're going to want to start out your life through one of the Build/Wild portals! Here is where you will play; MineCraft!

Chapter #5 - Ventrilo

On EcoCityCraft we encourage you to use our Ventrilo, the Ventrilo is an amazing place to Meet new peoples, chill with friends, discuss PvP, trades, and more. To join our Ventrilo you must first apply for a Account; that can be done so at the following link: Here. We really want to eurage people to use this System, it's extreme amounts of fun!

We must note that users who use Ventrilo need to follow the Ventrilo rules at all times, here is the full list.
General Ventrilo Rules:

1. Remember that Ventrilo and minecraft is composed of many different age groups. Talking about inappropriate subjects in any way around minors is prohibited. Use your common sense. If you see that there are children in the global channels and your topic is inappropriate stop. As well ask those who may be engaging in these discussions to stop as well. It is your responsibility as a community member to step up.
2. Avoid constantly cursing for no reason. Yes this is a voice server and rules are hard to enforce, but think about others and the way they may feel about it before you belt out a string of foul language into your microphone. This will be taken as spam and you will be acted upon.
3. Explicit topics related to anything abusive, obscene, vulgar, slanderous, hateful, threatening, sexually-orientated, drug related, religious, political material including any other material that may violate any laws be it of your country, the country where the "EcoCityCraft Server” is hosted or any International Laws is prohibited.
4. There is to be no discussion of Piracy, Warez, Leaked content, Cracked minecraft accounts, etc. Keep it legal.
5. There is to be no abuse of any Ventrilo members in any way including harassing/provoking others.
6. Do not log in and out of Ventrilo rapidly. This is spam.
7. All users must use their full in game minecraft username at all times.
8. If you plan on changing channels a lot, for some strange reason, tell a Moderator. Otherwise, it’s viewed maliciously.
9. Do not post comment links that are inappropriate. You should have a fair idea of what is allowed and what isn’t. If it is offensive in any way, avoid placing the link in your comment.
10. It is strongly recommended that members avoid posting personal pictures or links to personal profiles on Ventrilo. If you do, be aware of the consequences.
11. Do not, under any circumstances give out information such as address, phone number, or anything that could be used to inflict harm outside of the Ventrilo server. If you do this, you are doing so at your own risk.
12. Never give away any passwords, credit card numbers, etc. on Ventrilo. EcoCityCraft administration will never ask you for this information.
13. Moderators reserve the rights to insta-ban people if they see suitable, not all offenses deserve a warning. If you have been banned you must appeal in our appeal section on http://www.ecocitycraft.com
14. Staff members will act immediately upon breaking any of these rules and you will be warned/or worse banned. Our Ventrilo is a very strict user friendly area to communicate and hang out. Be sure to do so in a welcoming, rule-abiding manner.

Chapter #6 - Spawn Shops

Spawn shops are where you will go for all the essentials in your EcoCityCraft life; but be warned, the prices are extremely expensive, and it would be best in the long run to just head out, and get most of the supplies on your own.

Build Shop. What the build shop contains is stuff for, yes, you guessed it; building! It comes with everything from; Logs, Blocks, Doors, Flower, Fences, Torches, and more! Every block you may buy in stacks of 256. This place is great for those who are lazy, and want quick access to Materials when Building; Builders are suggested to gather their materials, not buy it for such a substantial price.

Wool Shop. The wool shop provides you with; Wool. Wool you can use for Building/PixalArt or whatever you'd like. At the wool shop you can buy in 1, 32, and 100. At the very top of the wool shop, you may also buy in stacks of 1000; Note: This is very expensive. Not only is wool avalible, but so is IncSacs!

Hospital ('Grocery Store') The Hospital, or some releate to it as the grocery store allows for you to buy all your Foodies, although, here on EcoCityCraft food isn't that essential; Hence you only lose half of your health when you run out of food, but this allows for fast sprinting. Here you can buy Pork, Cake, and more!

Weapons & Armor Store. At this store you can buy everything from Bows, to Swords, to even Chainmall Armor and arrows! They sell every type besides diamond; this is a great starting place for those wishing to get some starting Armor/Weapons/Defensive items, of course, at a substancial / non-relestic price!

Enchantment Shop. Yes, the enchantment shop is the shop that look like magical hats, and little Enchantment Particals floating above the hat. Here is where you can Buy a bunch of exp at a totaly overpriced cost, great for those lazy, like me! In these two Shops (Hats) they also offer a few Enchantment tables for those who wish to enchant there if they can't afford their own enchantment table.

Chapter #7 – Ranks
Main world Ranks:
The rank you begin your journey on ECC is Builder, you can build; set a home; join towns; join all channels; and much more. The builder rank isn't a prestegious rank, and you may not be treated compared to other members such as Residents, besides by the Moderators, you're the freshmen to EcoCityCraft.

We suggest you buy Resident quickly!

The next rank up is Resident.
Resident is a rank were you're introduced to the entire community of EcoCityCraft, by here you'll probably know all the active players. This rank is great for quick travling using our /sethome feature!

You can also become a Co-Mayor of a town, with this it allows you to operate as a Co-Mayor of a town (A mayors right hang Man/Gal). There's a rightful amount of respect that's given to Residents.

Cost: $15,000 EcoDollars.
Perks: you can be a co-mayor of a town; enter the mining world, make trade signs, rent a spawn shop, and more!

The next rank up is Mayor.
Mayor is one of our best ranks on EcoCityCraft it's where you may begin building your Nation or town! The feature is quite expensive compared to Resident, but it's by far worth it, hence you get your VERY own town!

Mayors are allowed to do whatever they wish with their town, wether it means Farming, Mining, Selling Plots, Shops, ect. You get to chose, and there's no restrictions! (Just besides some of our basic rules; I.E No inappropriate structures.

As a Mayor you get some of the following commands: /Region addmember <TownName> <Username> this allows you to add members to your city! Along with this; of course you can remove members, do so by typing /Region addmember <TownName> <Username> with both of these, you can use '/rg addmember <Townname> <Username>' and vice versa for Remove member.

Along with these commands; you can also Add owners to your town! This allows you to add Co-Mayors too help Manage your prestigious Farm or City! Or whatever you choose.

Along with Mayor plenty of applications are unlocked to you, this includes; PvP Arenas, Town Portals, Town Portal Relocation, Regeneration, ect. All these Applications can be found on our Wikipedia; hence they're far to many too list in this tutorial.

As a mayor as said above; you get a town. The town can be either 200x200 (200 Minecraft Square Blocks by 200 Minecraft Square Blocks) or 100x100 (Again, Minecraft square blocks) It can't be anything higher; nor lower. Although, once you Get President, and can expand into a Nation (A bigger town overall). Which we will be getting into next.

Mayors are treated with lots of respect here on EcoCityCraft, and are mostly well known.
Cost: $85,000 EcoDollars.
Perks: You can protect a region of land up to the size of 200x200, enter the Private Mayor+ Forum, and more!

The next rank up is President.
President is a VERY prestigious rank on the Server! It allows you to form your towns into a Nation! This makes your towns twice of size, and overall make them huge! All the prices and applications can be done on the Wikipedia.

Along with this; like any other rank, you get access to our Resident+, Mayors+, President+ Forums! Great for private discussion regarding towns or such.
Cost: $180,000 EcoDollars.
Perks: Own up to 12 Towns, access the Presidents+ private forum.

The next rank up is Tycoon.
Tycoon is just a prestigious rank. It doesn't give access to any other command. You're just known as a Rich player.
Cost: $500,000 EcoDollars
Perks: None, Just shows that you are richer than everyone else

The next rank up is EcoLeader.
EcoLeader is similar to Tycoon, it's extremely hard to get, and requires $1,000,000 to get access to. No other special commands, it also prerequires Tycoon, and it is around $1,500,000 excluding the other ranks that are required.
Cost: $1,000,000 EcoDollars
Perks: None just shows you are richer than the Tycoons,
Trivia: Welikeike22 is the first EcoLeader!

Total Normal World Rank Amount from Builder - EcoLeader:
$1,780,000

Chapter #8 - Ranks (Staff)
Moderator:
This is the first Staff rank. Moderators are in charge of Moderating Chat, Forums, Irc, Ventrilo, etc. The majority of Staff are Moderators. Moderators have perks that enhance their Moderating ability, they don't get any advantages in any aspect on the server. Moderators have strict rules they must follow to maintain the rank. They also deal with Ban Appeals / Complaints more frequently then the other ranks. (Due to the large quantity)


Super Moderator:
This is the second Staff rank, it follows Moderator. Promotion is decided by the Server-Owner / Server-Admins, there's no Application process when it comes to Moderator to Super-Moderator. Super-Moderators make sure the Moderators are in check. Super-Moderators also have to, along with dealing with chat, do Lwc Removals / Grief Reports. These are done quite often due to the large quantity of Super-Moderators we currently have.


GameAdmin:
GameAdmins are the highest of all the other Staff Members. We handle pretty much everything/anything. Bug Reports, Ban Appeals, Xray, Hacking, Complaints, Lwc Removals, Grief Reports, and keeping the other Ranks in check.
