So, for the past years I have had a dream of creating my own Minecraft server. I never knew how servers had things such as survival, skyblock, skygrid, etc. all in one single world. And my question for this thread is, how did you guys get game modes (As listed above) and put them into this awesome server? Was it with plugins? or something else? Thanks for the help! YOU ALL ROCK! -T_C_W
haaa, good one. But seriously, I want to know how you guys did such an amazing job and put so many game modes in it.
Hello The_Corn_Wallis Firstly, Skyblock , Skygrid etc aren't game modes, they are Gaming / Server types. Game modes are Survival, Creative and Adventure only. Secondly, All these servers aren't on a single world. They each have a world /s of there own and are linked to a portal which allows players to join the specific server with that world. In the future i suggest you seek advice from an alternative forum, I mean seriously your asking a public server for advice on creating your own server, Its like asking Willy Wonka how he makes different types of chocolate all in one factory. That's not correct, each server is a separate minecraft server instance and runs behind a proxy software, they are not one server instance running on multiple worlds.
Sorry that's what i was trying to say, I put it out wrong. Yeah so every Server has a completely seperate server with its own worlds within each server. The Hub is basically the portal which allows all the players to be transferred to the required server. ↑
WHOA HOLD UP. there were WAYY more replies on this than i thought! 1st, thank you Untimatiumx, and thank you hairy pooper (Sway), for giving me a better understanding of how this server works. I will take this to a different forum Ultimatiumx, cuz u made a really good point. I just asked the first server i thought of. have any suggestions of forums i can visit to ask on? ik the minecraft forums but nothing else.
