I believe many players on server feel like the game is too easy. It is understandable - with so many people online and limited mob spawning rates there are less mobs more players are online. Together with natural regeneration the whole game is just way too easy. So my suggestion is to make it UHC. Remove netural regeneration (this will make gappels and potions valuable, as now they are used pretty much never) and increase mob spawn rates. Of course, it will be an apocalypse during low-login times, however, it will pretty much force players to get good gear and consumables, as well as make new players to join towns, work together and, if they are willing to be loners, to get gut to survive. After all... it is SURVIVAL.
But to make it rly UHC respawning would have to be turned off... and thats stupid... With respawning on People would just die to get full health. However increased mob spawn rates and Mob cap is a great idea as Mobs are just a Nucance (spelling haha) atm.
I see no problem with respawning. You drop your stuff, and you have to get back to reclaim it. And if you wear good gear, and zombie mauls you to death, guess who will be wearing it. (psst, we can build suicide boothes to kill ourselves to get to full health lol)
I think if we make this a separate thing, normal survival and UHC survival, this would be really cool
I agree, Sway has already said about maybe creating a normal skyblock and calling the current one OP Skyblock , so why not have a variation of survival? I think the idea of increase mobs etc is great, it would be more chaotic and more challenging. Heck to make it properly UHC they could add death-bans or something? So if you die you say get kicked off the UHC server for like 10 minutes or so. I like this idea a lot, would love to see it implemented in some shape or form in the relatively near future(because of kitpvp, zombies etc still being down)
A ten minute ban isn't a good idea. The ban list will get affected in an unfair way. Players can not keep their clean sheet that way. I would suggest players lose all their gathered items. I don't know if that's possible with the needed plugins. If you die in a UHC game you always lose everything you have so I would prefer losing all gathered items. And yes I do agree that's a pretty bad thing to happen. But that's how UHC works
I don't mean it like an actual ban, but some sort of 'ban' system or timer system that prevents the player logging back in for x amount of time. I agree players should lose their items instead of just doing /back or dying at one of their homes so they can easily get their stuff back.
Yeah and maybe keep the ranks with the kits but make the kits less OP and a little different from the normal kits in survival. Like maybe more golden apples or potions to the kits or something
Why destroy stuff, when you can make people pay? Literally. 10% of what they have on them. You have $100 when you die? You pay $10. You have $70k? Well... Too bad. In addition, removal of /wild and /back will be amazing. With dangerous nights people will have to search for shelter, and without wild and back they will have to settle around/at the spawn, make forward bases and all. With custom dungeons it will be one hell of the game mode. However, things like /fly and /kit will give an anfair advantage. So how about system, similar to keys, when you have to gamble for starter gear, and earn achievements to unlock commands? You beat the wither - you get to fly.
Well, it's still survival, not UHC match. Tho ranks will make it easy, only way to make it fair is make serious gamechangers earnable, not purchasable.
Im not thinking making ranks super OP or anything, but I think that if we paid, we should get them. Maybe do like full leather armor and 1 golden apple VIP full leather armor plus 2 golden golden apples Supporter full leather prot 3, 3 golden apples for Elite and instead of fly maybe like a regen potion or something, or a diamond block Something not OP but still a nice little plus for the ranked people.
With normal survival I meant survival without mcmmo. Homes could still be a thing, same with warps, towns and party chat. Although I think towns could be a bit tricky if players die a lot. Ranks can stay but they should be nerfed, quite a bit. The ranks @MikeunbeatableMT mentioned are a good guideline to work further with.
Could we like not make it a separate server though or have another reset as such... i don't want to start from scratch AGAIN... towns take a long time to build ;-; I suggest we do the following on the current survival Nerf ranks Increase mob rates create mini natural disasters that aren't mega laggy and occur very little (eg once a week in one separate location) Also can we add an apartment plugin while we are at it or maybe a plugin in which plots don't have to be a chunk :-; but yet could be customizable
We shouldn't do this on the current survival. The people who are playing there will be forced to play in the UHC mode, and not everyone would like to play survival UHC. People who have ranks, have paid for it and it would be pretty unfair to just nerf it. Best thing to do is just make a seperate survival for the UHC mode, like they are maybe going to do with skyblock. This is all already said above.
Do you mean all gathered items in your inventory or everything you have in your base as well? If you mean everything in your inventory, I agree. If you mean everything in your base or both, I would disagree. Everything that you have in your base/storage, is already brought home to be safe and not be lost. It wouldn't be fair in my opinion to lose that as well.
