While I was building my house I found a glitch applying to building upwards everytime I build up it glitches me down so it cause me to build my house in a long time. I have asked friends if they been experiencing the same conditions and they have said they have been experiencing it daily.
Not sure if it'll fix survival but I've experienced the same problem on Skygird. All you have to do to fix is switch your client to 1.8.
