So I haven't made a thread yet, thought I'd kick it off with something easy.

What made you come to AEM survival? Did you find it on a website or through word of mouth?

Why do you keep coming back to survival? Do you have an ultimate goal that you're working towards on the server? Or are you just there to catch up with the friends you've made?

Show me why you love creative :)

For me personally, I found AEM through Planet Minecraft under the "survival" tag. It sounds silly but it stood out from the rest of the listed names and I just felt drawn into it.

A while back (4 years..ish?) I was part of a small survival server, made by one girl in America hosting from her laptop all day. The server was pretty basic, one world, one spawn and free for all building everywhere! It was beautiful in it's simplicity and I quickly became friends with everyone there, working on group builds and helping keep the peace when baddies tried to ruin our peace (aka large grief teams). That server was basically my home away from home, I could go there and feel comfortable with whatever was happening. Unfortunately the girl hosting had some personal problems and after she handed the reins into someone else to host, the server started to fall into disarray and we all kind if just drifted apart.

That brings me to how I ended up finding AEM! The community and friendliness of everyone in survival makes it feel like another home away from home, where I get to laugh, chat and help whoever needs helping. While I know I'm not one of the AEM veterans, I feel like I've been here just as long. It's like I've found a new family again :)

That pretty much explains why I keep coming BACK to Survival, but not what I do on there. Sure I help people where I can, but right now I'm working on a 12 chunk sort of sand-castle from sandstone! I have a bigger project in mind though, which is to make a gigantic underground shop that will sell everything you can get in minecraft, from daisies to diamonds! After I finish that build I'll likely try and start an even bigger community build with everyone on the server pitching in to make it survivals shining gem of unification :D

    That's all my story :)

Don't remember how i found Aem servers 2 years ago. I think it was from the survival server list.

First time i joined was 2012 around october-december. At that time i dont know what to do and i decide to join a town.

This server is really cool and i really enjoy it.

Most likely found it thru some website.

Why I come back: the community! Even though I haven't been on in weeks (I did a little visit a couple weeks back), whenever I am on there's usually someone I know (albeit buried in a group of total strangers). The people I know and have become friends with are really awesome and funny and always make me go like, "OMG (fill in username here) is on!!"

Also, someone kindly donated VIP for me a long time ago (I think it's been almost a year), so I want to stick around :)

Also: I have stores that try to help out new players. I also LOVE helping people in chat, and since I'm such a long time player of Survival, I can usually help out. That's the best thing to do - helping people out since others did the same for me when I first joined.

You should really get to know some of those strangers, almost everyone on survival is incredibly nice :) Try joining the TeamSpeak3 chat rooms as well! Its a whole new game experience when you can verbally talk with everyone on there :p

Lol, yes I wish I could. And sometimes I do!
Unfortunately, every time I visit, it's usually just for that one time, since I'm not so active on Survival anymore.
Also, there's no way I'll ever be in a voicechat with anyone (for any server).

Found AEM servers in the old days, just factions, while browsing PMC, played that for a bit, then came by survival with the big happy announcement from the owners & best old staff in the world. Made bunches of friends on survival and kept going. I have been away because of schoolwork but hope I can come back.

I did not find or stumble into AEM, but rather I was found by alexm back when he and his brother first opened and were server hoping so to speak.

Long story short, he found me gagging in a rage on a sever that simlarly went downhill and griefers were allowed to ravage its world. And I was invited to what was then a very small group & quickly bonded with everyone.

I too found a kinship which has since faded, but keep returning here because it still is a place I call home away from home. Love AEM :). (It truly is a long story)

I play survival for fun. It passes the plethora of time I have, I get to talk to new people almost every day, and I get to contribute to the community and help newer players. Unique builds made even more unique by the availability of materials, it just screams creativity and challenge in one package!
