I agree, I got my first built gaming pc from a him but add a few of a little of my own touches. He has amazing budget computers that can get you started.

Do NOT buy from Cyberpower... Stay as far away from them as humanly possible... I've already dished out $175 in repairs to fix their issues that, and sent it in twice to get repairs... They are HORRIBLE at making computers.
First send in: To get power button and fan buttons to work...
2nd time to TRY to get a fix of the blue screening issue...
$175 to upgrade the power supply because they put in TOO little for a gaming computer
I got to dish out another $80 for a new display driver for it too...

I'd recommend ANYBODY else besides them in all honesty.

I've heard word that AlienWare is pretty good however. http://www.alienware.com/ but they are a tad pricey.

I have been building my own since the mid 80's. My biggest suggestion is research. The two main placed I shop parts are tigerdirect.com and newegg.com. New Egg is a little less expensive on the slightly not top of the line hardware while tigerdirect has the higher end hardware. My last build was about 1200 but could have shaved a few hundred here and there. Think what you want and what you need it to do. Tomshardware.com is good for reviews and comparisons.
Also look at what you can 'recycle' out of an existing computer like case, fans etc. The little stuff adds up quickly.

How to get the best Gaming PC for like free (Practically)
    1. Travel to USA
    2. Steal one from the Pentagon.

Just kidding don't do this. Do some searching around, take advice from ppl here and overall make a decision on which one is the best value.

You need to add a few steps between your steps:

1.1 Plan how to get in the Pentagon.
    1.2 Execute said plan.
1.3 Get out without being caught.

    Just saying. =/
