Help with locked items in town

I have been gone for a couple months and in that time most of the people have left the town, but left locked chests, furnaces, and signs. These things are all over the place and I have no way of removing them. Most of these players have quit the server so I cant contact them to remove the locks. Is there any way I or someone else could remove the locks?

Edit: Also I was wondering what the rules were about auctioning kit items, I didn't see anything on the rules thread but when I left the server for a while, there was a dispute if people could auction the kit armor and weapons or not

 

Ok, so any mods willing to take the time to help me out with this?

 

None ever seem to be on while I am on so I was hoping to be able to contact one using this thread.

So I got a mod to help but it seems like they can't remove or destroy the locks. Is this something that an owner has to do?
