You just named 1 staff member who doesn't have the power to do shit on survival and skyblock for example
When the staff members from Asia are sleeping, the staff from the US is at school or work. This means that there is no one online in between. When people need help, they have to wait for help. Shadow is only a mod on factions if I'm right, so he doesn't have the power to fix things on the other servers. Also, he shouldn't be running the 4 servers on his own if he had the power to do it. So in my opinion, we need more staff from Europe who can help in the time there is no one online.
As much as the server needs EU staff, I would rather we have mature, non-abusive staff that have been carefully selected and monitored than lots of immature staff who just want to be staff because it's 'cool' or so they can try and get powers to abuse. If the server had lots of immature staff it wouldn't be of the high standard that it currently is today. It could simply be that the EU members who have applied for staff aren't yet up to scratch or are still being selected , or even that EU members haven't applied as much as other areas meaning there is a lack of EU staff. I'm sure that the managers,Sway, and anyone else who has influence in who becomes staff will make the right decisions, as they always do. If you try and rush them the server won't be as good as it should be.
I'm out for summer and I am constantly on teamspeak and the server. I'm Helper on Survival and mod on Factions. Contact me on either of those servers or ts if you need help. Also, Shadow is only a Helper.
I'm afraid you being online during those hours won't solve the problem. You are still not able to help players on other servers than factions. The only thing you can do is assist the players who need help (every 'normal' player can do this as well) and ask for higher staff on skype. But since they are not available during the hours we are talking about it doesn't really add anything to the current situation. I'm not trying to be mean with this, I'm just trying to point out the importancy of the current situation.
I have the ability to /warn /mute and /kick. Something normal players can't do. If the higher ups trust me enough then they'll promote me.
We understand that you mean staff who can fix grief but we can't just promote or higher players as mod or higher unless they have proved they can be mature and handle it.
I think the point people are trying to make is that there is no one online within that timezone that can do things such as roll-backs for griefed areas etc -Rogue literally just said that while I was typing haha
Would be really nice but you will need promotion on basically every server then. And I'm not saying that isn't possible but I don't think you will get promoted on all servers at once in a short period of time.
The dilemma is that the server needs more staff , but they need the best staff possible, which is why people aren't promoted/recruited quickly. However this has left a gap in the EU timezone for staff that can actually do rollbacks etc. The only solution is obviously promoting current staff or recruiting more. However , there are probably hundreds of things on the managements list at the moment, with half the servers not currently being up , constant bug fixing etc. Just give it time, things will work out.
Lol @Dutchflame_ Anyways, back to topic! Please don't continue ranting on about EU staff on the new promoted staff members thread. You can make a new thread or speak to a staff member personally (if available) about this issue. Stick to congratulating the great staff members on survival that have earned their positions.
