Skyblock Server Rules
The TinyURL for this page is http://tinyurl.com/skyblockwiki.
Treat others with respect.
There’s no need to say or do things to make others feel bad or upset. Racism, sexism, and any other kinds of discrimination or discriminator language will not be tolerated. Trolling and flaming (generally defined as provoking a person/situation to get a response) are also not allowed.
Offensive content is not allowed.
While some minor amount of swearing is allowed, severe or frequent language is not. Offensive pet names, item names, skins, and usernames are not allowed, and you are required to change any if asked by a staff member.
Keep chat family friendly.
Chat should be family friendly. This means certain subjects are not allowed in chat. Should a moderator ask you to change the subject you must do it.
Advertising is not allowed.
Advertising another Minecraft server is not allowed. You also may not advertise websites, YouTube channels, Twitch streams, or anything else if it is not related to EcoCityCraft.
Allow moderators to do their jobs.
You may not attempt to do a moderator’s job in threatening to punish players for breaking the rules. You are not allowed to argue against any decision made by a staff member regarding enforcement of the rules in any public channel. If you do disagree, please contact that staff member privately to resolve the issue, and if you cannot, contact administration via our staff feedback form.
You may answer questions from players about how the server works or the rules, as long as you are providing the correct answers.
Spamming is not allowed.
Spamming is filling chat with multiple unneeded characters or messages.
Shouting more than 10 consecutive times is also spam.
Nicknames used that are hard to read, spammy, inappropriate, or to imitate the name of another player are not allowed. As a rule of thumb, nicknames should follow all other chat rules.
Cheating is not tolerated.
Cheating in any form is not allowed. Anything that would give you an unfair advantage over other players is considered cheating. This can include client mods, abusing server bugs, or using multiple accounts.
Trading For Real Items
Transactions to buy or sell EcoDollars or other in game items for real money or other external products are not allowed. This includes minecraft accounts! The only exception to this is where players trade or pay another player in exchange for a purchase from our official EcoCityCraft Shop.
If you own an island, you are expected to act with respect towards your island members. As a island owner, you may create rules for your island, however these will not be enforced by staff and only serve to say what you expect from your island members. You are also responsible for distributing the rewards given to you for leveling the island.
Griefing is not allowed.
Griefing is considered destroying or changing another player’s property or buildings without their consent in any protected area (mostly island but also includes server shop areas).
Do not scam other players, or try to.
Scamming is taking money, items, work, or anything else of value from another player dishonestly. This includes teleporting people into PvP areas without their consent.
Channel Specific Rules
Certain chats have specific rules you must follow while using them.
[Tr] Trade Chat:
You may advertise for the purposes of conducting in-game business within our trade channel, however you may not use more than 1 messages every 5 minutes.
You may not build inappropriate structures or spell out inappropriate words with blocks or on signs. Also, you may not build structures that are very likely to cause lag. These include continuous Redstone clocks, structures using an excessive amount of block entities [ http://minecraft.gamepedia.com/Block_entity ] , and farms which use light as a mean to farm crops. There is a hard limit on certain types of block entities to prevent further issues.
Trades between servers is allowed, but cannot be enforced or secured by staff members. Any complaints regarding inter-server trading (except for feature purchases) will be dismissed.
Automation is permitted, provided you use 100% minecraft mechanics alone to do so. Exploits in Minecraft itself are not considered "mechanics". Use of any 3rd party modifications to allow automation is grounds for an island wipe and ban (Eg. Redstone is allowed, macromod to farm is not). Please review the Skyblock AFK and Automation Guidelines for more information regarding what is allowed in terms of automation.
These rules may be updated as the gamemode matures. Please pay attention to any updates/changes.
