Say goodbye laggy computer, and hello to non-laggy computer, ever since I got here, every day I've said 'I hate this computer' or 'sorry, it might be hard to place water, my computer is lagging and won't let me place blocks' or 'I want to throw this thing out the window' or even 'I miss all the good stuff when I get lagged out' Well, starting sometime in the next 12 hours, I will have a computer that DOESN'T take 5 hours to open a browser. This will make everything MUCH easier, until then, I won't practically kill myself trying to use this thing to play Minecraft.
Ever find out CPU you got? Terraria is starting to get boring to me. Nothing really to do when you have everything.
I got the computer Kai had before she got the new one, with some slight adjustments in parts, it runs great. I don't know what kind exactly, but I know it's windows vista, that's about all I know.
Don't like double posting but this is strange, I went on Minecraft to get on the server, as soon as I hit connect, the computer made a really strange sound, the I hit cancel, it stopped, I kept testing, it always happened, and it won't let me connect now, I'll try closing and opening minecraft, but if that doesn't work, I don't know what will, other then a computer reboot.
Think you can decribe the sound. The most common grinding noise like what Kai said is usually a failing a hard drive. P.S. Might wanna back things up just in case if anything is worth backing up.
When I had the PC, with my old, flaky, already failing hard drive (we've known for a long time, didn't have money to get a new one), it made a grinding/clicking combo sound when I had certain settings set in MC, when I had the MC window open.. xD My bro got a brand spanking new hard drive, though, so if he had the same sound as I did, it might just be some weird fan problem... with it running faster when MC is open, and hitting something.
Do a couple of things that might fix the sound. 1. Clean out the case. 2. Check to see nothing is stuck in the fans. 3. Tuck any cables around any fan away.(My friend almost lost his motherboard in a bad blowout with this) 4. Try changing the port the hard drive connects to the motherboard. It could be the port.(Doubt it though) 5. Try running a hard drive check. Could be a faulty drive. Also was your windows a fresh install?
My dad cleaned it out completely and did all his computer-making and fixing magic last night and the night before, so I doubt it is any of that. D: And I sure would hope it isn't a faulty hard drive, since it is brand new.. I.. dunno if it was a fresh install. o.o My dad did the most he could to make it "brand new" for my bro. xD
