Item/Rank/Feature:Wheat Current Price: $1.25 for Wheat and $.10 for Seeds Suggested Price: Return Seeds to .50Brief Description:Wheat is twice as much work as the two biggest crops Melons and Pumpkins. You have to farm and replant all of it. Originally wheat had wheat seeds at $0.50 per seed now they are at $0.10 per seed. Even if you are only getting 1 seed per wheat piece wheat would be able to compete with Melons. Further Wheat, having double the effort, deserves to make more money. If you make them $0.50 per again or even $0.30 per seed you would be able to make a larger portion of money based on your extremely high efforts. Here is the results of my math Wheat makes approximately 20k per hour without replanting. Replanting takes slightly longer than breaking wheat in the first place. This makes the time farming 20k about 2 hours when you include replanting. This means that 10k per hour is where wheat currently stands when farming without any tools (Fort) Melons are currently making 19k per hour. This means Melons are making 9k per hour more and require less effort. My suggestion would make farming wheat go up to 11.5k per hour w/o tools or speed. This is in my opinion at the very least more fair considering the high effort for low financial gain that wheat provides at the moment. Please Discuss Your Opinion
I would love this to happen. I recommend something more then 11k per hour though. Not many people farm with speed or tools anyway. Most of the farmers who consider wheat an option don't even touch the crop, they farm it through the water system now that light farming has been banned. This would still leave melon farming with a proft of 8k+ on wheat. Adding on to this suggestion, maybe we should change it to something that would make 15-17k an hour, just to make it even.
