The chance to have Christmas dinner with 9 other close family relatives in my home country at a huge table. (It’s always been just our immediate family for all my life - about 4 people total usually.) Best Christmas gift ever. We also don’t really do any gifts other than chocolate and small things because no one here really cares about that stuff.
Generally in my family it's about being together, similar to andrew's. We buy our own gifts and it's a time to explain why that gift was something we wanted. I've got a few things waiting, a card reader for my desktop, a switch chassis for a project I'm working on (for the very far future) and a few small things.
Snowed in... ...and a Switch. I could do without the snow, though. I still have to get to and from work in that junk.
Got a BC hockey jersey a vineyard vines button down shirt and a pair of slippers! I have wanted this hockey jersey for like 6 months lol
I got a new microphone, a razer blackadder mouse, razer blackwidow keyboard, darts tickets for march, hairdryer, yeezys, around 100 pounds from relatives... I got really spoilt but I'm super appreciative of it all
Most of the people I know got things because they're a status symbol to make believe they're somebody. Like my 8 year old cousin with the newest iPhone. Well, for Christmas I got: -An electric guitar -Guitar picks, lots. -A pen, it has the Ferrari logo so it makes it "premium". -a notebook Money, which I will spend on crypto, some raspberry pi projects, and food.
My uncle bought me ARK, I got a new keyboard from my girlfriend <3 and the other big thing is my mom bought me a ticket to go with her to see the Trans Siberian Orchestra
Hmm, lets see. Well I got a killer stomach virus on the 23rd, so been dealing with that. But Christmas wise, I got myself a Nintendo Switch, Money (of course), some new clothes, and some headphones. Also got to visit some family who I rarely get to see, so I'm always glad I get to see them once every year.
Christmas around our place is mostly a time for family- however, I was very blessed this year with some great stuff I got- A Ford Escort car A new pair of Beats from @ZevZero Ski gear Painting supplies Some other little things But what the best gift is, is @matrix_rep coming to visit me in a week! <3
