I am on a 2008 iMac, it has an intel core two duo processor and 2 gigs of ram, it is optimized for photo editing but I have never ran out of memory in minecraft. I average about 30-50 fps.

A custom built high-end gaming PC.

    ~Too lazy to post specs~

I get 400 fps on a 256x256 on far render distance.
I remember when I was using a mac, I got about 1 frame per 10 seconds on 256x256... With tiny.

I use a 2010 MacBook Pro with 2.4 Dual-core processor, 8gb ram and 500gb hard drive. I normally get around 100 FPS, but if the server is lagging, I can get as low as 20. I rarely lag though, and 8 gigs of RAM is fantastic! :D

I use a Dell Presion 490 with a Intel Xeon Inside, don't know what the FPS is but mine broke, accidently killed it. and a tip: NEVER EVER mess with shell32.dll, that's how I screwed it up, it was in Spanish and now it used to be Bluescreened and know its failing reaching Windows XP. Getting repaired on Monday, luckily I backed up everything I wanted before it happened, before I couldn't play minecraft, it was java related error, coudent fix it, soon backed up maps, mods, server plugins (trying to host a server), and other things. Now all I do know is to on Planet Minecraft and upload skins. Created some cool ones, and some are my brothers (DJ Dude, Mohawkbrine, Blackbrine, and one who got taken down, Herobrine in red creeper shirt, and I leveled down, due to that

Well, sadly, my Mac has suddenly started lagging severely, so I installed Optifine, and that made it a TON WORSE :/
