hello im 98brando and i have just entered the mining world thingo the world thats the jungle biome. when i saw that jungles where going to come out i got happy because i love to build treehouses and this woulf make tree houses more of a wounder full thing and now that is is in the server i have built a pretty decent tree house with mendnboi and we made it really good. we are still expanding it to be cover the whole tree but the problem is stealing. i know stealing there is legal but wrong i would like lwc's to work to lock my doors and chests so that ill be able to actual build a society and have wars. with out the lwc's people can just come in my beutiful place and destroy it. i have built a outpost and other stuff in there for people to use but not to destroy. so my question is who wants to join me in bringing back the lwc's? if so write a comment on what you think also read my other topic about joining my pvp clan! :mrgreen:
Well, it is a Mining World... With PVP... And it regenerates every month or two.. maybe sooner, if other suggestions go through. Wasting time on building a "fort" for people who will likely backstab you sounds like a waste. And having protected chests everywhere can become a clutter. Discouraging chest use means users won't forget their stuff in there, and won't have to worry about it being deleted when the map regens. o.o Mining is supposed to be a slight challenge, not easy with being able to lock your stuff up.
i understand that but u think that the residents have contributed enough to server to become residents to enter are just going to grief i wouldnt if it got me banned and something cuz i have put all my time in to getting that rank. i say most pretty much all greifs are from builders
just no, PVP and mining. It is like the nether only without TNT (with creepers though) and having LWC in an all pvp looting crazy mining world is something that makes things too easy, you need to venture back home to drop your stuff and you shouldn't be able to just drop your stuff in a random chest.
i vote no to LWC. This is more a PvP thing than a mining thing. I get better rates in the regular world than the mining world due to few caves and no shafts. Even if there are more resources generated per block the ease of finding them in caves and shafts makes up for the scarceness in the main world. That's as of now.. future maps with shafts and caves will make it easier to find things... I also find more diamonds in the main world as they hardly ever are single or paired blocks... more like 3 to 6 blocks of diamonds. LWC would be a mess. If you are setting up a permanent base your a fool. You should either be camping the spawn and following people to kill them or running out of spawn and not stopping... then dig down and cover your holes, hide yourself and your trail and be ready with the /spawn.
To put LWC on in a PVP world will ruin all the fun and pleasure of fight and raid. I really disagree with this suggestion, that will not stay pure pvp.
Yesterday I got 47 diamonds in the Mining World... About 4 hours of mining? Maybe 6. In the main world, I can't even get 6 diamonds in 6 hours. :/ Thing with this new world/generation, is people aren't willing to find other mining methods to make the time worth it. In the main world, I can mine for 6 hours and get... almost nothing, even in "unexplored" areas. In this new world, with a different mining method, I make five times more stuff; even in explored areas. As for LWC, yes, it would just be a mess and pointless. No PVP area has ever had LWC, and many PVP servers don't allow LWC in PVP areas. "Player vs Player," stealing from chests, hiding them, finding them, is all "player vs player." Got to outwit the other players, imho.
if you want to make it even more hardcore make a change to /warp /tp /home and /spawn commands, so that when someone enters them they have to hold still for 3 seconds and dont move

I figured out that if you put a chest by stone the chest turns to stone but i think it only works underground pro tip
