Suggestion:People who do not use the correct format for a ban appeal must wait 12 hours before posting another thread.

Reason: Time and time again we see people posting their Ban Appeals and not using the correct format. If someone is banned then they should read the thread at the top that says "* PLEASE READ* ". Just by not using the correct format shows that they really do not care about getting unbanned as they can't even be bothered to use the correct format.
Sometimes we even see some people post 2-3 ban appeals in a row using the incorrect format, we can't make this any simpler for them, they probably don't even read what they moderator is saying to them.
We need to have something in place if a users uses the incorrect format for a ban appeal they have to wait a certain amount of time before appealing again.

Any Other Information: I will update this thread with more information later as I am really tired right now and I am struggling to string sentences together.

TL;DR: If you simply don't have the time or the manners to read the thread "PLEASE READ" then why should they get unbanned, they should wait and read through it properly.

Although I like the idea, I am not sure how we can enforce it. Far as I can tell, there is no way to "ban" or "lock out" someone from certain sections/posting. Telling them, "please wait 12 hours before posting a new Ban Appeal" probably would not be listened to. Considering they sometimes do not even listen to, "Please make a new thread with the correct format," not much would change.

If there was a way to prevent a user from posting in a section, I would be for it. Less thread spam, more time for users to think. Just not sure it is possible/anything would end up differently.

Well if they post another ban appeal after being told not to, they should be forum banned,
    1. This is disobeying a moderator
    2. This shows that you are not reading or paying attention to anything.

Hmmm, Interesting proposition Sneaky. I have no knowledge of coding, but if this is possible I think it would be a good idea. In fact, any ban appeal that gets denied for any reason, incorrect listing of rules broken, wrong format, not enough effort, I think all of those should be given a "banned from making enough appeal for blahblah # of hours."

It'll lower staff's workload, keep mayors/presidents who get banned from troll appealing, and show builders/residents they need to read some stuff, and show some effort to get unbanned.

Now this is all good and fine, but if there's no way to block a person from posting in a certain area, it goes to waste. Telling them not to make another wouldn't work just for many many reasons.

But, I can't post in the staff section on the forums, why not? I'm blocked from posting there. Why can't the same principle be applied?

12 is too long. 4-8 sounds good

Great freakin idea tho. Same guy posted like a dozen times last night. Wrong format EVERY time.

I feel like it would be hard for mods to enforce. People would still end up appealing and would result in more denied appeals. :p

Considering it would be hard to enforce, maybe instead of moderators replying to the appeal with the format, they could say "Denied. Wrong format. Please look at "[Format] Ban Appeal/User and Staff Complaints *PLEASE READ*" on the top of this page." Or something similar.

That way, you would at least know that they are making as small effort to get unbanned.

+1, those that don't read what is given shouldn't be allowed 5 minutes later. I would say 2 hours is the best amount of time between appeals.

athough, i think they should get one warning before they cant repost, in case it's a builder who quickly wants to get unbanned or whatever

That restriction of the forums has to do with player rank just like the resident, mayor and president sections. Making the restriction on a specific player onto a section that everyone can post on is completely different.
