Hello! I just won extra items at voting, but my inventory was full and I got only part of it. I tried to make room as soon as I logged in, but it was too late. So my question is: how are these situations handled? Do the missing items stay in some kind of cache, or are they unrecoverably lost? If it was only a few netherstars I would have not bothered, but among the missing items there was a sheep egg! Is there something we could do to recover the missing items? Thank you in advance p.s.: I should have got, in total: 7 nether stars, 5 diamonds, 5 emeralds, 1 sheep egg. I got the 7 nether stars and the 5 diamonds, but the 5 emeralds and the sheep egg are missing.
Well I am sorry to say that this is not a bug if your inventory was fool in the first place. There is just no way those items can get to you if you have no room. This has happened to me before and the only solution is to check your inventory space before voting to avoid this issue. Alas there is nothing ECC staff can do about this, its just how all of those reward systems work no matter the server.
If you have a full inventory the voting rewards have nowhere to going meaning they just dissapear. There is no way to get them back. Be very careful to make sure you have space in your inventory and when you log off to if you do offline voting.
When you do /kit something with a not empty enough inventory, the exceeding items don't get lost: they are just spawned around you. So I think it would have made perfect sense if this happened in the voting prize scenario too. I will be wary of this quirk in the future, of course, but I still wonder why such a different behaviour
Unfortunately there is no way to get the items. They are different plugins, the kits and the voting rewards, so they act differently. Sorry :/
This explains the difference, thank you. I know that the developers of the plugins have nothing to do with this particular server, so this is my (last) question: do you know how (and where) to file a suggestion to them?
