I'm sorry... but how is this abuse?

 

One rating every 15 minutes... why do you think action should be taken because of that?

 

Feel this is needed.... If I'm wrong please delete this, or ask me to edit out.

 

How is it abuse though, is what you fail to explain. The definition of abuse, per the oxford dictionary is:


How is he using the ratings system for a bad effect or purpose, as he is alleged of doing?

 

If I were giving them all the same rating, perhaps. But I don't - I give ratings based on what I think of them. Here, have an "Optimistic".

 

I can indeed confirm that statement. Given the tremendous amount of time I spend on the forms, I find that Mr.Suburb usually rates posts of his liking, not just blindly.

You sir, are still lacking explanation of how it is misuse of ratings. The definition of "Misuse" per the Oxford Dictionary is:

As I've said in my previous paragraph, Mr.Suburb is rating things to express his viewpoint on certain things on the forums, not just ratings things blindly. He is therefore, not misusing anything, and using ratings the way the creator of the plugin intended them to be used.

 

I would expect better from you knears. It's sad to see someone like you sink to trolling all the time.

 

Although I've expressed my explicit dismissal of the complaint, I do not believe Mr.Knears is trolling, as talking to him in private, he has expressed his explicit anger at the fact of his constant alerts from ratings. Please do not make slanderous statements against my good fellow, Mr.knears.

As for Mr.Knears, I recommend you to turn off alerts from ratings. Mr.Suburb isn't breaking any rules of any sort and he isn't doing anything malicious or harmful.

 

Don't see how that was slanderous, but okay... I just expressed my disappointment that something like this turned into what it did.
Like you said, just turn off ratings, or don't complain about free ratings and trophy points.

 

Yes, that, sir, is my point. Mr.Knears can easily disable the alerts he receives from ratings if he is indeed vexed by the alerts he is receiving from Mr.Suburb rating his forum posts. If anything, Mr.Knears is in fact benefiting from Mr.Suburb's actions due to the amount of ratings he has received exponentially increasing due to Mr.Suburb's action.

Mr.Suburb is in full compliance of the rules based on the evidence provided in this complaint, therefore no action should be taken against Mr.Suburb.

 

Don't be so salty skrub

Now to get onto this topic, a user being active on the forums does not make them in abuse of forum features. Also, look before you say something dumb: "He is in direct violation of Section 10 of the forums, which states (bullet five), "There is to be no abusing of forum features". This user has clearly violated this rule by rating 17,118 posts as of this post, and action should be taken."

Ratings are a forum feature? Gee, thanks whoever bought me the ratings feature, wonder how much it was.

 

Excessive use within reason is not illegal... though as you'd like this complaint locked I guess there's no further point in arguing.

 

I do not want to see any more irrelevant posts here. Please only post here if you have something to add to the complaint.
