Minecraft Username: Stolio Brief Description: When attempting to use the mcmmo ability tree feller, I keep getting the "That tree is too large!" message even when the tree is an appropriate height. Instructions: make a giant jungle tree and activate the mcmmo ability. Next, hit the base of the tree and it gives you that error. I even moved up higher on the tree and still received the same error. How many times did you recreate this bug?: 4 times. Result: error received and only one log dropped without the entire tree dropping. Expected Result: The entire tree to drop with all the items it should drop. Evidence: http://imgur.com/Pz7XnGu,286bpD2,Bd9iUkw Even moving up the tree to make the height of the tree smaller does not work. I was, however, able to hand craft a 2x2x10 tall stack of logs work with tree feller.
Does this happen with every tree? If so, does it still happen with one big tree away from all the other trees?
Hmm. So I just planted one away from anything else and it worked fine. I have never had an issue with location of these before. Might just have to expand out my jungle tree trainer a bit more. I'll test more in the morning
Then the problem was that the tree branches came too close to the other tree, and with the algorithm that's used it would incorporate a part of the other tree as one tree. So it became too big.
When I was training woodcutting, I had the same issue. However, I discovered the problem was just what Kuke is describing; the trees had simply become interconnected and McMMo read it as one tree. To fix it, I cut down all the trees that weren't too big, and then manually cut down all the branches.
