Tree Farming Guide In this guide, i will be talking about how to tree farm, in single player, being mobs are outside and because of night time, tree take awhile to grow as well as are a risk to chop down far away away from your house. So here is a simple guide to create a underground tree farm which yields a very good end reward for the little space this tree farm takes up. Room Height A player can cut up to 6 blocks without climbing anything, and a tree always has at least two blocks of leaves above it so i would advise building a cave of a height of 8 blocks so you can get every single piece of wood available to you. 80% Efficiency Farming This would be the best structure in my opinion if you want to grow saplings at a quick rate and if you need to use as little room possible, then this would also be a good structure: I have put torches onto different materials such as the walkway (stone) and in the middle (cobblestone) to identify which blocks don't need saplings on and will not be placed accidentally onto them. Return This way you do get a lot of wood for how much space you use, but you also do not get as many saplings from the canopy because the canopy is a lot smaller because of the trees being alot closer. Though some may think that regulating the height of your trees is a good idea it is actually sacrificing some profit. By allowing your trees to grow at maximum height you can sometimes yield double or triple the amount of logs from a single tree. More time consuming but worth it.
hey mardigan a trick to afking so trees spawn is to build an underground room to stay in so you don't have to worry about suffocating if the tree pops on you in an unlucky way. the trees above will mostly be in range.
