    Additional information about your town transfer:
    I bought Venito from emongolab back in 2014, during a time when formal contracts were not considered as important. This was before town transfer applications even existed. Consequently, especially for transactions between friends, in-game agreements were often preferred for the sake of expediency. I had spoken to a SA about whether I could use one of these in-game agreements for a town transfer application, given the circumstances of my case, and they said that it would be permitted.

    Even given the weird circumstances, we'll have to reject this Town Transfer app.

    Unfortunately, you did not follow the directions for Town Transfer Applications, which state that:
    Because this transaction occurred four years ago, we SAs did an investigation to see if we could help you at all.

    At the time of the screenshot (Oct 2014), Town Transfer Applications did indeed exist and had the same requirements as today. This was verified by viewing past revisions of the old mediawiki (not the one integrated into the forums).

    The above which states that you did indeed complete this transaction. However, it does not explicitly state that a town was to be transferred, therefore we are unable to complete your request.

    This technicality, while frustrating, is in place to prevent a simple sale contract from allowing a person to transfer a town to themselves. In other words, we need explicit directions that a town is to be transferred- otherwise a contract might contain phrasing that does not correctly express the wishes of the original owner.

    Application rejected, locked.
