The History of Cactus Farming Spoiler I was inspired to write this because I think kuke needs to know more about the history of cactus before he becomes the servers cactus god The Breakthrough Well, the entire history of cactus farming started when I saw a video on a super small cactus farm. It was about 16x16 blocks wide and long, the size of a single chunk. At the time, arb_67 was creating the nimbus land castle. I was asked if I could be a "co-owner" of nimbus land, even though ranks wern't even created back then. So, inside nimbus land castle, I built my first cactus farm. Once it was seen by users, they all bursted and wanted one. MXS Farming was born. MXS Farming I earned a pretty good living off of my company. Became one of the servers richest players, forming the MXS Supercenter, together with nugget200 and mission001. But back to the past. It started with mission, who I became quick friends with after seeing something that looked amazing, although it was really simple to create. I asked him if he wanted to see nimbus castle, and he said yes. So we walked for about 10 minutes to nimbus land, a very long walk. We entered the castle and he asked to look around. After about 5 minutes he saw my cactus farm, and asked if I could explain it and make one for him. Here was my first sale, even though it was free After creating his farm, I decided to sell some more farms. First came Welikeike22, who I was not great friends with, asked for one. A silly recent grief I caused made us lose our friendship, but it was restored very soon. He payed the fee and I created a farm for him. Next came theTYBEAR, who asked for 4 farms, all connected and synced to a single spot. I made loads of money of it. Then came lots of sales from users who dont play anymore. Forming the MXS Supercenter with the maps first portal, came the map restart for beta 1.5. Soon on, after mission had taken on the cactus farming ways, he had created some very stunning creations. Near pixel land, a land full of pixel art created by andrewkm, was the cactus temple. The larget automatic cactus farm on EcoCityCraft before the 1.5 map was made. Eventaully, mission had also created a giant cactus revolving around his cactus farm. Builds came and went, after the map was reset. A new age was dawning. Farmville When the map reset, people adventured far and wide to get to a spot where they could create their town/house. I ventured into a desert, and decided to start my cactus farm. Suddenly, a user named Rezonl came to farmville, and asked if he could help. We created a gigantic cactus farm, although it was just one layer. Next came Larsphee, who helped us finish about 5 more layers. This caused us to make about 2 cactus a second. Using the power of magnet chests, we could mine and adventure while our farm stored cactus into a chest automatically. Because of this and severe lag magnet chests caused, magnet chests were removed Even though they were removed, Rezonl, larsphee and I still used the farm to collect cactus, taking turns while it the other were digging. I started soulwood around this point. Still, we 3 were some of the richest users on the server, and the first to start a town. Soulwood was a town any user could join, for free. Tons of users came and, after being completly filled up, left. Then, out of no where, cactus was banned. Unfair money gain and severe lag were the problems. I held a cactus funeral, where many users attended. Left standing at farmville were the last 2 cacti. From that day forward, cactus was dead. But, the 2 cacti lived on after being destroyed and placed at spawn, being known as the cacti gods. The History of the First Map Spoiler Sorry, I just cant make this part of another 5 maps, its just too long. SO MUCH HISTORY e.e This will take a while... Introduction Man. There is tons you could know about this first map, but I'm going to summarize it the best I can. It all started with Andrew and I, after stopping a private minecraft server. We began by building "spawn", an area where the users would well, "spawn" and learn information about our server. After spawn was built, the administrator created the server store. The server store was an incredibly large building made of brick and obsidian, with literaly every single item for sale inside, at all times, for the server price. Users could buy items at any time, and sell them back for the same price too. Users began to build houses and create shops, and then a new feature was added. Residency! Residency was a rank that meaned a user owns their own region. Users could now spend their ecodollars to rank up! When applying for resideny, a user set up their own 15x15x15 region which would be protected and only they could build in it. Users had their own private spaces, and could brag for having the largest region. One user, who is now gone, had created a region larger then even the main shop, and his name was KrakenZero. He created the "Kraken Tower" together with the users StarBolt79 and ParanoidPhantom created the largest building in EcoCityCraft native history. Now that these 2 buildings were built, came on a spot of fame for all of EcoCityCraft to see! A music video parody by inthelittlewood, titled Form This Way contained a picture of the EcoCityCraft shop and kraken tower! A picture at exactly 23 seconds in shows the South side of the shop, known as the "Over 9000!" side, is seen, along with a bit of the kraken tower to the right. This history is very inaccurate.... I am mentioned once </3 Yet i build cactus temple, And the giant cactus, this is a disgrace and the cactus gods will eventually smite you down from your oh so high thrown, you have disgraced the cactus way, claiming solo glory. You poor creature.
There is SO much history of this server, recorded and unrecorded, we will never truly have everything in one thread.
Sorry... wanted to recreate cactus farming past xD I completly forgot about you... The cactus temple Memories are being lost, and they must be saved Thanks for reminding me ^^
