Sick of what was happening to her people, Goddess created a disguise and made herself like the humans. She walked towards her city to attempt to help her family. The people she loved needed her. On her way she was met by a road. It led to a city full of resources. She knew of ordinary people's love of things like gold, coal, and diamonds and assumed it was from a few of her unfaithful members. She walked through the large shiny gates and in to the city. An energetic slightly young man greeted her. He wore a crown upon his head and his townspeople adored him. He was obviously their leader. Goddess looked down towards the ground holding in her disgust for someone who was ordinary yet posing as a God. The people adored him. She felt jealousy for the firs time. The city was astonishing. This King showed her their advancements. He and other scholars had created a number system. She was so impressed by him and started to feel as if she wanted to spend a lifetime learning alongside him. Yet this king did no occupy his time with women. He was focused on knowledge and his closest friends. He showed no feelings for her which slightly upset her. Although she was not used to emotions. They spent time together. They bonded. Late nights talking together about everything that could be done for the city and other towns. They made each other happy. And for the first time she talked about random worldly things. Beforehand the feelings of ordinary beings slightly bored her. As a human herself she could finally understand. She felt a deep connection. One night while sleeping in a guest room of the castle Goddess awoke and felt inclined to look out of her window. The Darkness was darting across the town. She screamed. Monsters flooded the gates and the people fought bravely but were overcome. The King of Numbers ran in terrified. Goddess glanced down to see he had no shadow. She embraced him and they stood hugging in the center of the room. She cried. She knew what would happen next. He would be taken by the Darkness, whatever it was. And in a heartbeat her arms no longer held anything. The King of Numbers was gone. The Darkness stood across from her in the room. It approached her and stopped inches away. She stared through it. And as it reached out towards her she vanished. Once again she sat in her cave sobbing. Why did she have to lose everyone she loved so dearly? She planned to exact her revenge and remove the Darkness for good. She pondered for what seemed like an eternity. Meanwhile more and more townsfolk were being taken by the Darkness. Goddess formed a plan.
