What if we had like an official ecocitycraft livestream. This would get our name out there and bring in more people into the server. This stream doesn't have to be like a 24/7 stream of someone playing on the server. It could be maybe once or twice a week andrew goes on and PLAYS on the server, answer peoples questions, showcase what people are building and/or get them on stream to talk it via Skype. Also I think it would be a great addition to the server if we decide to do it. I know we need more users for this amazing server.
The one im watching right now, has 31 viewers(our average online players) and they have 800 followers. You can also upload the recordings of the show to youtube and get more videos.interest to the youtube page. Trust me I mean this is a crappy server. They don't even use LWC and yet they are getting a lot of people interested in playing. Also so more suggestions I thought of: 1. Perhaps a GIGANTIC sign in the spawn with our website on it to encourage people to go there. 2. Also perhaps Andrew could do member Spotlights for our youtube page. So like if you get picked Andrew asked you questions, you show him what your working on, etc. 3. Maybe a twitter and/or facebook page
Sounds cool, but Andrew is very busy as it is, I'm not sure this is possible. What would be a great way to get the word out like you want, is if we could get some popular guy to showcase the server, imagine this. Some guy with average 1,000,000 views on a minecraft video after only less then a week sees this servers, likes this server, then makes a video showcasing it, 1,000,000 people will see, that will make the number of people joining raise very fast, but the thing is, the chances of this happening is very low. The popular minecraft video makers I know of are Seananners, CaptainSparklez, and BlueXephos...but us getting any of them to showcase the server would be very hard. But back to livestreaming, Andrew is very busy all the time, and it wouldn't be official if he didn't do it...so it might not happen.
Rez sometimes Livestreams the server.... I don't think it matters if it's 'official' or not, as long as the name is getting out there
I check livestreams a lot whenever I cant sleep. I assume I may not be the only one. It could be popular. I brought up andy because it allows user to see what friendly staff we have. Always a bonus IMO.
It would be awesome if Andy made one stream, and we can share the account and give passwords to the streamers. This way we can get a close to 24/7 stream. LOLWUT.
