Minecraft Name: OnSceneReporter Suggestion: Find a way to put the wiki search box on the forum. Reason: The wiki is a great source to get useful information, but I feel that not a lot of people visit it. As a result, the wiki is not taken very seriously, and there may not be much motivation to add information to it. Any Other Information: When I tell people we have a towns portal directory on the wiki, or a trade sign tutorial, they have no idea what I am talking about. Link To This Plugin: HTML and CSS I assume.
+1, the wiki is an invaluable resource to those who know that it's there, this would make it even easier to access. Also I agree with OSR that if it's easier to access the wiki, more people will visit it and there will be more motivation to improve it.
This doesn't seem too hard, and I find that many players, when asked to find the rule they broke, spend so much time looking for it they never actually read it. If they are easy to find, then the player is more likely to read at least part of the rule, which will help benefit our server even in game.
This would be a good implementation, but you can just press "Ctrl + f" on most browsers to bring up a little search box.
I like this idea a lot! I'm not sure how hard it would be to implement or configure since I have no idea about HTML or PHP works, but it sounds like it would make finding things like specific rules or helpful hints a lot easier for new and old users alike.
Yes you could do that but like On Scene Reporter said...... I don't think a lot of people know about the "Ctrl+f" thing because I didn't know a bout it until you just posted it in this forum.
I agree that not many know about Ctrl+F, but if you click on the option/tools(or whatever your browser says) menu there will be an option that says something along the lines of "Search page" or "Find in page". Sent from my NX008HD8G using Tapatalk
+1 I have been thinking the wiki has needed this since the first day I joined the server and checked out the wiki.
