I'm here to bring up a very hard issue. I'm sure most all of us have heard of it. The issue of Troll Auctions. Such as tricking someone into be thinking they'll buy ItemA, when your selling them ItemB For example: Auctioneer: Selling an Egg! Starting at 5k! Bidder: 5k! Auctioneer: Going once, going twice, sold! The auctioneer is tricking the bidder into buying the "Egg". The bidder thinks it's a horse egg, because no one would sell a chicken egg for 5k. But since the server command "/Itemdb Egg" shows you a chicken egg, the Auctioneer gets away with it because they sold exactly what they said. I know AndrewKM's time is short and he works hard for the server, so I'll try and make this brief. I suggest a single rule amendment to fix this. Just a single amendment. This is the current rules on the issue. I'll add my new rules in red. Thank you for reading. Feel free to open discussion.
Well it is a good suggestion but most people who join the server don't read the rules I just don't see it changing anything but I wish it would i hate any forms of scam.
It would change things because: Currently: They don't get punished for doing this. With this rule: They would get punished for doing this.
Melon sword isn't really a slang term, it what it sais when you buy the sword from the star shop. But yeah I agree this really needs to be added +1
It's a slang term because there is no "/Itemdb melonsword" on ECC. I could call my torch a "Flame Thrower" and there's no difference. It's still called a "torch".
I wouldn't think so. People sell melon blocks and wood swords and tend to get away with it. Melon sword in my mind doesn't define it right, some people place Unbreaking III on a "melon sword" and still call it a "melon sword.
Alright, I agree with this suggestion to an extent. It should in fact apply to eggs. But, the 'slang term' idea does worry me a little. For example a Star Sword is the actual name but I don't think there is an /itemdb StarSword. I think we should allow things like the Melon Sword to be called what they are under the understanding that if you call something a melon sword you are expected to be selling an eff 5 unbreak 3 sword. I could assume rules could say that if your selling a "star sword" or a "melon sword" it refers ONLY to the ST 1 Eff 5 Nothing else. If you have unbreaking three on it, you'll have to clarify then?
This small amendment needs to be added, I'm sick of silly little kids trying to "bend the rules" and scam legally Sent from my HTC One
