Minecraft Name: evilring Suggestion: @Core_Diver and I would like to have the command /ragequit that will tempban you for 1 day. Reason: This command can help you calm down, and it would just be useful for those players that need a break, and cannot control themselves. Any Other Information: N/A Link To This Plugin: I don't have a link, but kukelekuuk00 and KHobbits can make this command.
oh.. I just.. no.. imagine the trolling.. imagine the builders who get themselves tempbanned because someone told them to.. Oh the horror..
Well, every player that joins the server AGREES to the server rules so, it is their fault for not reading them as they are obliged to do so.
As nice as it would be, it's impractical to expect every builder reads the rules before logging in. Also... this is a command, not a rule - even if you read the rules you could miss the command section of the wiki. I could imagine people trolling this like they tell people to use /ci -- just because everyone who has access should know what it does doesn't mean they will. If you wanted to make this work, you could do something like bounties - when you do it, you get a message in chat like: "You are about to temporarily ban yourself for x amount of time. You cannot appeal this ban, and it will expire automatically when time is up. Type /ragequit confirm to continue, or /ragequit cancel to cancel."
If you want to be tempbanned, file a ban request on the forums. As for anything else, if you have enough restraint to type /ragequit then you also have enough constraint to CLOSE THE GAME. It's not difficult to simply close minecraft.
Hehe, this is an old suggestion i've brought up a few times in-game, always recommending one or two /confirm messages first to keep builders from falling prey to it. I mostly hinted at it for comedies sake, but with a spare thought always on the concept of saving the staff team some trouble with grumpy users.
I'm the silly type of person who talks to herself via / commands (/hello, /WHATSUPYOOOO, /bored, /slap, etc)... And I know some other people who do this, too. I'm sure someone would unsuspectingly type "/ragequit" while being silly and get themselves banned... lol. Besides that, I'm -1 because of other reasons already mentioned (trolling, mainly).
What do you mean exactly? I actually did read the rules because I was scammed and I was looking for a clause to prove my point.
How about it having sound effects that play for the whole server when someone rage quits? Like thunder? Or patronising laughing so everyone can laugh at someone who has rage quit? On a serious note, if I ever wanted to stop playing out of anger I think I'd just press the 'X' in the corner rather than type '/ragequit'. Having to type that is accepting that a supposedly fun game has resulted in you getting angry.
