Minecraft Name: priMELval Suggestion: A cooldown time for setting nicknames ie you can only change nicknames once every x minutes. Reason: Players with the feature can change their name before other players or mods can /realname them. This makes it impossible for them to see who the player really is. Any Other Information: Even if a command is added to hide all usernames, players with the feature can still pm or use local chat where only players with nicknames showing can see them. Mods still need to be able to identify players from a nickname. **A cooldown of 5 minutes has been added**
Even so, Revan was talking about this ingame this morning. If a player with the nickname feature was breaking a rule and required some sort of disciplinary action outside of just a verbal warning (kick, ban, etc.), in order to identify the felon you would have to use /realname on the nick. Only then could you take action. Now, if the user was switching nicknames BEFORE they could identify them, it would be highly frustrating, and likely prolong the problem. If a cool down, even if it was just a small one, was implemented, it would make it so staff have a proper chance to identify who's breaking a rule before they switch names. +1 to the suggestion btw
