Okay, so first of all I would like to know how many people use a chat mod such as Tabby Chat splits your chat into individual tabs, It's really useful, especially for moderators. Minecraft Name: xOSneakyBaconOx Suggestion: As you can see by the image below it shows that the user Choatey1 was *very lucky*. They way that this message is formatted means TabbyChat picks it up as someone has sent you a PM, this creates a new tab at the top of the chat window. Instead of it saying [choatey1] was **VeryLucky** at voting and recieved an extra 2 netherstars: www.ecocitycraft.com/vote It should be changed to or something along the lines of *[choatey1]* was **VeryLucky** at voting and recieved an extra 2 netherstars: www.ecocitycraft.com/vote Simply by adding the "*" TabbyChat no longer picks it up as someone PM'ing you. I do not use TabbyChat (I personally believe it would make moderating harder), but I do not see any issue with a small change like this.
Well when people PM you it goes to a new tab, click the new tab and all of your messages that you type in that tab are sent to that person. Also you can setup filters so if someone asks for help it would alert you if you are not paying full attention to chat.
Well since you do not know the name of the mod I am talking about leads me to believe you haven't even read this suggestion properly....Anyways this is a small suggetion to quite a large amount of users as this seems to be a popular mod.
True but it is useful if someone pm's you whilst you are afk it will create a new tab and save the message so you can easily see it when you get to the keyboard.
Tabby chat is a very useful mod and I see a lot of people using it. I would like to see this changed, simply because it's such a small thing it wouldn't take much to change it. Kuke said to turn the pm tabs off, that's the main reason I use tabby chat. +1
+1 i have recently downloaded tabbychat and it is great but i am constantly closing new tabs from people winning a voting prize so i would like to see the change.

TabbyChat has the native capability to hide these messages through a Java RegEx, as documented here. I didn't bother to read how this thing handles the RegEx, but this Java one should work in some format for blocking messages... I think. Code: "\[[\w+]\] was [\**][\w+][\**][.*]" Give it a go and tell me what happens.
Update to TabbyChat 1.9.02 and it should be fixed. Someone else just had a voting reward and it did not pop up a new window. *Edit Nevermind, still gives independent channels.*
I don't see any issue with doing this. It would be a small change and would make a few people on ECC's life easier. I approve.
This suggestion could be completely unrelated to Tabbychat/Macros, and I would still agree with it. The "*" makes it look nice and polished, it also catches the eye then just brackets.
+1, I don't personally use tabby chat but this is a small change and if it helps then I don't see why not.
