Suggestion: Put the gravel drops back into gravel in ECC (Gun Powder)

Reason: The reason gun powder got taken out of gravel drops was because of gravel monsters, well as some of you may know mcmmo exp and drops only come from WILD blocks, not placed ones, thus making gravel monsters not an option.

Any Other Information: Gun Powder is almost impossible to come by now a days, adding it back would be nice, all the problems that came with gun powder farming have been dealt with and I do not think will be to much of a problem.

+1 Gravel is extremely expensive and this would help to bring the price down a bit.

hand placed blocks become "wild blocks" after the server restarts. It's basically impossible to prevent gravelmonsters unless the drops stay disabled.

@kukelekuuk00, Obviously I don't know much about mcmmo, but is it possible to move gunpowder as a drop to another block? Like for example, clay.

False, tested before making this suggestion. It is after the blocks data gets wiped from the logs, it takes at least 2-3 weeks.

Actually, if it goes off that, it takes 1 week.

Then 1 week if I am correct. Now people may say that one could place gravel then just break in a monster after 1 week for money. No this will not lag the server, the reason it lagged the server was because people were doing it over and over and over again. You can only do this once per week, making it quite inefficient.

Quite inefficient, however people will offput that by making larger gravel monsters. If gunpowder is really the end-goal of this, then people will find a way.

I can't see Andrew putting gunpowder back into gravel (Andrew hates gravel, he won't even put it back to $0.05 for people who mine); I really think it should be in clay or as another excavation drop of some sort, as I do agree there is a need for gunpowder, with fireworks and splash potions being back, we need at least a semi-consistent resource of them. I also think that gunpowder should be made available in some sort of shop, especially if not implemented back into McMMO somehow.

Adding into this peice of evidence:

If it takes a week for the drops to be renabled, wasting time making gravel monsters would be pointless. Also, the chances of these drops could decrease should they be added to gravel.

Perhaps a different block, maybe one of the new blocks such as podzol?

Personally, I agree with putting it into clay, as Sky Suggested. Its scarce, but not too scarce. It is also expensive so no one is going to just go buy it from the block store to harvest over and over again. Honestly, it would be best to put it into a rarer excavation block then any of the common ones.

Due to the fact that the suggestion I posted in was locked because the original idea submitted by the thread creator was denied, I'm putting what I said there, here again, because I think this still could be a feasible option for the economy: "I think Sand and Gravel Monsters should still remain disallowed," no question about that. "I also think the mcmmo rewards for sand and gravel should be put back, as the only way to get gunpowder currently is either killing creepers, or by having the donation feature for /kit mobs (obviously though this might encourage people to buy donations, so there is a slight disadvantage there). However, it should be such that the drops are less frequent then what there were before, so that reward items are still semi-valuable, but not so valuable that they become overly-priced. Lastly, I also feel that if gravel or sand drops were to be added back, specifically speaking about gunpowder, the excavation level required to be able to obtain gunpowder should be raised to maybe 300, so that people are getting more of a reward for their dedicated effort to train to the required benchmark level." I think this would be a reachable medium that most people would agree with, as it allows people to expand several smaller niche markets in the economy, like fireworks making and potions making (if the person has Water/Pyro or a high Alchemy Mcmmo Level respectively).
