I am suggestion that instead of using the username of the Lottery winner, that we also use the displayname, just like when users buy tickets in the first place. As you can see from the image below, @monkeyBUTT244 bought 7 tickets, he had a nickname. He won the lotto and his nickname (displayname) wasn't shown. I think this should be changed, if one thing is like that, why not the other? Its also my weird OCD lol Edit: This also goes for the "/lot winners" command, It is stored in plain text, I feel that is should be changed to the users displayname.
I think it's useful! I guess it could be used with the same prompt as the SG plugin does (Still learning the java basics).
Hmm. I'm on the fence about this one. As it is, I have a lot of trouble finding the real names (usernames) of people. Many people have nicknames that end up creating a list of many users when I use /realname. With things like the lottery, I want to know who actually won - especially during crazy lotteries. As well, this may (or may not) break the lottery scoreboard (if it ever comes back). However, I do like the idea of being harder to find. Being harassed after winning a lottery can be annoying, and having your username shown (assuming you dislike it and use a displayname for a reason) could be kind of upsetting. I'm not for or against this, I just kind of wish it was toggleable... but I am doubting it would be.
Users can toggle whether or not they see people's displaynames on the lottery. So that means a person who has a nickname would not toggle it, but rather anyone else would. Pretty sure that would not be possible, though. I was going to elaborate, but I thought I had to rush out of the house. :b
Hmm I kind of agree with moonfink i do like the idea of being harder to find and not be harassed especially because that name is seen more often and is probably alot more familiar then your display name X) But hmm +1/-1 I see the use and obvious pros but I also like the idea of having your normal name appear.
I bought 7 tickets >: O Honestly I don't care if this is added or not; if it is, just another thing added. If it isn't, oh well. Adding this won't bring any huge advantages really, except for lessening your OCD.. I'm in the middle, I guess.
