Minecraft Name: Vintage_Gamer Suggestion: To allow links to work when users use the Shout Command Reason: It is sometimes beneficial for users who want to advertise something that is on the forums, or on twitch etc. Any Other Information: I done a quick search for "links in shout messages" and found one thread from a year ago, but no staff member responded. Link To This Plugin: Whatever one we currently have that handles shout messages.
People can take bad links and tiny URL to shout them. Or links to other servers, I suppose it's kind of easy but they have to load a website and stuff.
People can do that anyway, the link simply won't be clickable making it so the staff has to spend more time finding the website.
Before people continue badgering me with the same question please look above to see I answered one of them. But people are less bothered to find the website now, so they may be more inclined to click on a bad link if the message is false.
I see your points as a little invalid. A user who posts a link in global is the same as posting it in a shout. Only currently the shout links don't work. Also, anyone who posts a "bad link" in a shout, staff can easily click it, and deal with it quickly, rather than typing it out in their URL bar. I struggle to see the point you are making.
Clause 1.3 - Shouts and Lottery For Shouts: No advertisement, touchy subject/discussions, special characters, languages other than English. Straight from the wiki.
Yes, no advertising in the same way advertising anywhere else isn't allowed. AKA, advertising servers and stuff.
