[Suggestion] /kit food (SG)

    Suggestion: Make a /kit food
    Reason: Well, now that hunger goes down so fast, a simple food kit would be great. This could consist of Apples, porkchops, steak, golden apples, and soup.
    I would easily pay 10-15 used for this as I often run out of hunger in the first minute or so.
    Link: Not sure how they work, I assume it would be the current plugin we already have.

    This could work! Just something to get some good food In.
    Or make kit dsg+, and have that include a gapple, less cool down! and the items listed above.

    Of the few times I have played SG on ECC... I usually get 20x more food than I will EVER need. There are way too many chests - with lots of food - I'm not sure why there needs to be more...?

    There was a recent change were your hunger drops drastically faster.
    Also, I am a more on-the-go player, I never stop running, so I find myself out of food quite a bit.

    farm some wheat, make some bread.
    Farm some potatoes, bake some potatoes.
    Farm some carrots, eat carrots.

    There are many ways to get large amounts of food.

    Anyway, SG is survival games, adding a kit that makes survival easy isn't great.
    When I play sg I still find many chests with food in them, and I have no problem with food, ever. Not sure where your problem lies. But just use kit dsg at the start and find the rest of the food in chests.

    I don't like the idea of kits in the first place. Adding an easier way to get food would only make things worse for the games. I've never had the problem of running out of food in an SG, and I completely forget that /kit dsg exists if I do play (which I don't very often, but my reasoning for that is in another suggestion.)

    I almost have never used kit dsg until the update where hunger drops so much, now I use it whenever I can, and still, you will go through the 5 apples in about a minute of playing so that doesn't sustain me the entire game.

    Buffer is an offensive kit, without food you'll still starve and die.

    There is plenty of Food in sg. around 1/3 of the chests you open has food. /kit dsg gives you some food if you are unlucky. What more could you ask for?I've always found myself fine even without dsg. If you still can't survive, I'd recommend kit scavenger, as it gives you some mushroom stew and allows you to fish as seen below.

    I understand, I used to never need food, but with the way I and many others play which is a very fast paced, on the go strategy, I have not played a single game today where I was not low on food. Also, many, many chests have raw chicken, raw beef, and fish, these food items are very low on what they regenerate and the chicken can poison you.

    Also, I am not to sure how easy or hard it is to code a kit into the survival games, but if it is easy what is the downside? At 10-15 used for the kit and then double that for plus, this could be an easy way to generate more income, while adding a worthwhile feature, because the kit would be something new for people to buy, such as people who have all the survival games kits.

    The problem with this is with /kit food this would make it so you do not have to do anything in sg. There are already kits for weapons and armor. Besides weapons and armor all you really need to get is food and maybe arrows. If we make a kit for food people with all the kits will just run around killing people and not even taking time to get chests. Note: Some kits are OP as it is this would just make it completely unfair. Although food may seem like a small addition it really isn't.

    If you have ever played against a team of 3+ using make it quick, spy, and buffer, you have seen true unfair. Some people on this thread say that scavenger/dsg already provides enough food, so why would another food kit hurt the system?

    Well you see in scavenger you have to get the food yourself which takes a lot longer than getting it from chests. Scavenger is pretty close to useless in my opinion. DSG is not enough food to sustain you though a entire game and you know that is true. I think that the reason they did not put enough food in dsg is because it drives players to get food themselves making the game more fair. Now that my friends is how /kit food would hurt the system.

    Would just like to say that I know, and knew, several PVPers AND SGers (especially the later, now) who have/had no kits whatsoever, play very fast-paced, "on the go strategy," and can even beat kit users without using other kit user's kit items (this excludes those who vanish, as that is simply an OP kit), and have never had hunger issues. They get every chest they see, very rarely die, and get almost every kill when they encounter someone.

    I do not know if any food and hunger changed in 1.7 - you would have to provide proof from Mojang/update notes - but even if it has, I doubt it is much different. I know that I personally have seen no change in my hunger, and only until very recently I always was running and jumping (and still do out of habit).

    Despite all that, however, there is still more than enough food on the maps and more than enough ability to get the chests with food, while still being quick with strategy. It's all about practice and learning methods, quirks about maps, and user play styles (for those who play a lot). If anything, add more food to the two kits that have food currently, rather than making a new kit. That new kit would probably be more like /feed, and not get too many donators (the average user in SG isn't seriously competitive and won't need the kit).
