Minecraft Name:riku1301 Suggestion:Add the item sharing ability back to parties. /party itemshare random/equal. Reason:While doing anything with a party afterwards you normally split whatever you've just obtained. Exp share was implemented for mcmmo levels so why not add the other command implemented in this plugin for splitting items. Not only would this be useful in a pvp environment when picking up loot but going on a mining trip or farming extravaganza. Any Other Information: Item Sharing Party item sharing has two different modes that the party leader can choose between. Random and Equal. Random With the random item share mode, all the near party members will have the same random chance of receiving the item, regardless of the values of the item. Use /party itemshare random to activate. Equal With the Equal item share mode, the chance of receiving an item is determined by it's value and how many valuable items a player has received. If Player A receives the first diamond, Player B will have more chance to receive the second diamond. Resulting in equally shared items by rarity. Use /party itemshare equal to activate. Greedy? Disable Item sharing: /party itemshare none Will disable party item sharing. - https://github.com/mcMMO-Dev/mcMMO/wiki/Party If you drop an item the plugin will track it and it will not randomize who receives it. my only problem would be the possibilities of a dupe glitch with this feature other then that I see no reason why this shouldn't be added and exp share should. although there have been no reported glitches with this part of the plugin. Well it could work for pvp, as my clan end up selling the stuff then splitting the money, this would be easier.
As many people know, health pots are not as good as they were, so pvpers end up bringing in more and more potions at a time. With this command being added, a player can 1v1 and if there are loot stealers around waiting for a death, the items could be transfered into the inv of another clan member. This would be extremely useful in pvp and mcmmo exp situations. +1
If you've dropped it within 75 blocks of another member then probably not but dropping your own items should not happen often as most people have a different drop key so again it shouldn't happen. Also parties are becoming more community based so the people should be kind enough to return your item as hopefully in working together with you they've grown a respect for the party members. Also it does have the on off feature so your party leader would only be turning it on when needed.
Very interesting and creative idea. Is it part of the McMMO plugin or is it something that will need to be programmed? Also, the possibly for a dupe on this sounds tremendous....
Jason1964 it is a part of the mcmmo plugin as I said in my original post. Also as for the dupe possibility I really feel it would be minimum and highly unlikely as its a well programmed plugin and it simply changes who picks up the item between party members.
Ya this would definitely help against loot stealers in pvp who hope the persons inventory fills up and then runs in while they clear there inventory.
It's not like dupe glitches appear in anything else. They appear in vanilla minecraft. It doesn't get more programmed then that. It was made by a company. This plug-in on the other hand wasn't made by a company. It still think that possibility is very likely.
There Is no dupe glitch with picking up items, there is no dupe glitch with splitting mcmmo exp meaning its possible to do the 2 most important parts of this command. As well as there is no published glitch regarding this that I have found meaning it again is very unlikely. I mentioned that they're is a possibility of a dupe glitch because there is allways that possibility but I have found its unlikely.
Yes but we are unsure of dupe glitches with transporting items between inventories, or even the parties themselves. Andrew has had to reset them twice for some reason. I'm not saying it's a bad idea, I'm only saying it has a possibility for dupe glitches.
I understand your concern but I've done some research this command and I know a fair bit about it so I can safely the say the likelihood of a glitch is slim to none. As for party resets that has nothing to do with this command it was most likely while he was editing and changing the exp share command to increase range etc.
there could very well be one, dupe glitches usually revolve around item mechanics, so I can see why it could happen. Although, I myself have different reasons for this to stay disabled. Items being spread around can result in some severe drama situations (even worse than the "pvp giveback" nonsense)
RyanBlocks2 I was doing some research and found this in one of the updates for mcmmo ! Items dropped by players are now being tracked and are not being shared with party members So that means if you drop an item of your own you will pick it up
