Minecraft Name: SKSoccer Suggestion: To add the command /invsee as either a donation perk that is completely separate from all other features (~$50) or add it to the Investigator feature that we currently have. Reason: There are numerous advantages to having this command available to normal players. It could decrease the chance of scam while trading. You could show other friends your items/item names without having to drop them/create a donation chest. Or, you could simply see what's in andrewkm's inventory! Any Other Information: Obviously, the actual taking permission from /invsee would be disabled. Only the permission node to see the items would be enabled. Link To This Plugin: Essentials, we already have it.
Smods+ have this ability. I think that this is something which should stay exclusive to the higher staff levels. Player's privacy should be respected.
<Edit> I agree with Dewsy as some users have tons of star times but don't want anyone to know about it.
I do agree, it would be a good addition for this reason. However, Dewsy does make a good point regarding privacy. It might be unfair to users that want to keep their inventory private.
What about something like an Invsee request? You could request a player to see their inventory with /invseeask <name> or something like that, and they could accept/deny.
I personally do not agree with this. This would invade users privacy to much, it is not that hard to make a donation chest if users want to look at a item, or even for a trade. If your trade is simply default MC items you can make a trade sign to reduce risk of scamming. There are plenty of other possibilities, however I dont like this one.
Either use a donation chest or make it so you have to request to see another player's inventory. I don't want people look at my stuff
Personally I wouldn't mind if someone was looking at my stuff, its not like I have anything to hide. I mean, its just stuff, its not like you are looking into my irl info.
I agree with Dewsy92. I believe people shouldn't have the right to infringe my personal privacy. I have nothing to hide, I just don't want people to know what I own.
Speak for yourself. I encrypt coded messages about my real name, phone number, street address, and social security number into the way i organize my inventory.
Due to the large amount of negative feedback, and myself realizing the cons of this possible feature, I will be locking this Suggestion. Thanks everybody for your help!
