Minecraft Name: zedoker Suggestion: to add a "/hug <username" command into the game. Reason: Today in global, the idea came up to add a command that can hug a player in game. Based on the opinions of some players, ive modified my original idea to address the concerns of some users/mods. It will be in the form of a shout and will look like this "***[Hugz]zedoker*** *Hugs sick24*" or something like that. There will be a limit on the amount of hugs that can be used to avoid spam. The costmwill be like 2.5k I also think that we could add the /slap command for zard if he so desires it. Also what needs to be added is a way to ignore the hug/slaps if a player decides to. Any Other Information: I think that to make this look better, more people should add ideas so that this is more of a user-created thing, but then again we will see. I have to say... this is a fantastically adorable idea. Thus, I approve. Also, as a bonus, it would take money out of the economy... Likely my money. Most if not all of it... yeah... I'd be broke.
Okay okay, I'm perfectly fine with having /slap. But I don't want to be hugged. In real life, if you try and hug me, I can easily back away (slaps on the other hand, can't be dodged as easily). If you /hug someone they must type /hugaccept or something, because seriously, this will get creepy after a while, and I don't want it done to me.
But they still "hug" you. You just don't see it. Everyone else does though. Wait, you mean so that if they /hug you, it doesn't work, they get a "Playername has blocked hugs" message?
We're an economy server, we focus our plugins/commands on economy... I understand you would charge and everything, but why not just use a shout saying "*hugs <username>*" . We aren't a roleplaying/romance server, it would just take precious time away from developing/editing more serious plugins that actually relate to the economy aspect of our server.
I understand that, and i dont mean to interfere with the important plug-ins, however this could be a little side project that the devs would just edit in any spare time that they have.
I think it should just be a normal command that has a cooldown of like 5 minutes or something. i think the cost of this hug command should cost less, cause who would spend 2.5k to just say *hugs zedoker* . it should be less than a shout ($500) and have a cooldown time of around 5 minutes. also, HI ZEDOKER!!!!!
I honestly don't see why we would need this... As jets was saying, just use a shout or something else. I don't find this necessary in an economy server.
Even if everyone agreed and wanted this added, it's not on github. I checked the page, twice, I see no github link anywhere, and Andrew won't install plugins that aren't open source or on github. EDIT: I have found a plugin that could be used, although Andrew would have to remove permissions for some certain commands, as it looks like people would only want / need hug and slap. http://dev.bukkit.org/bukkit-plugins/dark-commands/ It is on github, so it has a source. But like I said, andrew would need to disable permissions for some of the commands.
