Minecraft Name: Vintage_Gamer Suggestion: To add a new command for the Channel System: /channel leave all, or something similar. Reason: When I log in, I usually get my screen spammed with Global, Local, auction trade and other channels. Instead of having to leave every channel that I am in, I think this would be an easier method. Any Other Information: I'm not sure if this would work, especially if the command /ch leave all registers as leaving the channel "all" Link To This Plugin: HeroChat, Which we currently use.
I suggested this awhile back and it got denied by Andrew http://www.ecocitycraft.com/forum/index.php?threads/[Suggestion]-ch-leave-all-command.78438/
This is a convenience suggestion meant to simply spare a few seconds out of a select few peoples' lives. There's no real reason to have to fret over adding this so -1
+1 Good idea just to help save a few seconds of /blah but if this is too much trouble for the developers then I guess it shouldn't be added, but in my opinion I think its a nice and easy fix to a commonly felt annoyance. On the other hand wouldn't it be a pain to rejoin these channels? It seems like the same problem to me :/ but backwards
/sg messages and /lot messages are the same as /ch leave g or /ch leave auc. They're essentially just separate channels. The issue with this is you have to take into consideration the time and effort the the developers would have to put in to add this as well as the money Andrew would have to pay them (they don't work for free). So when suggestions like these are made, you have to consider this and ask yourself, "Would shaving off a few seconds of my life really be worth all that work?" IMO, this particularly doesn't seem worth it.
Method one: use /ch afk, then disable chat. Method two: get macro mod that many users have and make one button leave all the chat channels (pm me if you need help with this). Method three: use the couple extra seconds and just leave them all....?
+1 Quick Question, would it be something the Ecc Developement Team could just do in a second or would it take a while?
But the thing is that the Buycraft is something Andrew could directly control. You'd need to convince andrew to suggest this to the plugin's dev team - It's closed source meaning we can't change it. Even if Andrew suggested it, the devs there could deny it. You could save some time buy just doing "/leave [channel]", and considering all the default channels have shortnames (g, v, l, tr, auc), it shouldn't take very long at all to leave unwanted channels.
