[Suggestion] A Minigame Idea! Spaceship BattleCraft

    This is a minigame where two armored spacecrafts battle to the death in a an outer space environment. The spacecrafts will try to take out each other’s systems and the crews will pvp each other.

    Before this minigame begins . . .
    This minigame will be a teamplay, with only two teams, one team manns one spaceship. Before the minigame begins, each team picks a spacecraft they like. Each spacecraft looks different and has different capabilities, advantages, and disadvantages. Each team member on each team will vote for the spacecraft they prefer. If there is a tie, the computer will randomly select a spaceship of the ones that tied. Once, the teams have chosen the type of spaceship they wanted, the game begins. The teams will spawn in their spacecrafts, in the Armory.

    Inside the Spaceships
    The spacecrafts will have rooms inside. The rooms will all be different kinds of rooms.
    Types of rooms each spacecraft has:
    Weapons Room- If it is severely damaged or utterly destroyed, all weapons attached to the ship(Cannons, Rapid -Fire-Arrow Dispensers, etc). will be unusable and deactivated. But depending on your ship, specific weapons might be deactivated and some are still usable. Which are some advantages and disadvantages of the kinds of ships your team picks.
    Armory- a room where there are several chests inside. Ammunition, weapons, and armor, will randomly spawn inside the chests, if the chests are full, the items will stop spawning. The armor and weapons will not go beyond iron quality. No diamond swords, chestplates, etc. But if the battle is taking a really long time, the chests will spawn weapons that do more damage. It will no longer spawn iron swords, it will spawn enchanted diamond swords with fire aspect, knockback, sharpness, and etc. along with powerbows. When this happens, respawns will no longer be allowed.
    The armory will also spawn building blocks, golden apples, and food too. The armory cannot be destroyed.
    Storage room- a place where your team can store extra items. It can be useful if you have extra arrows or golden apples. This room is destroyable.
    Medical Bay -right when you walk into this room your health is immediately at full health. But you can’t walk back in there until two minutes has passed. If this room is destroyed, your team cannot heal extremely fast anymore.
    Power Generator Room- One of the most important rooms and one of the most protected. It is surrounded by thick obsidian walls. So cannons firing from the enemy ships cannot destroy it that way. To destroy the power generator and get the power shut down, the enemy players will have to take time to mine through the layers of obsidian and then destroy the generator. Once energy is no longer being produced, your team’s spacecraft will now have to run on reserve energy. Which will last a certain amount of time depending on your ship. If your ship completely runs out of power, all the systems will be shut down, and your team will lose. But there is enough time between that allowing for your team to escape through the escape pods.
    Also, you are allowed to lay traps in the power generator room. Its the only room that you are allowed to.
    Oxygen Room- If it is completely destroyed, or severely damaged, your team will die in 2 minutes because of no oxygen. But you can stop that by repairing the oxygen tanks, which takes like 10 seconds to repair. If that doesn’t happen before 2 minutes runs out, game over. But the oxygen room is also protected by a wall of obsidian, and iron blocks. So the enemy team still has a chance of blowing it from far away.
    engine Room If the engines are down, your ship will start to fall out of orbit and plummet back into the earth’s atmosphere and crash and explode on the ground, and your team will lose. But if you repair the engines before 5 minutes of falling, the spacecraft will stay in orbit. The spacecraft will not actually be falling, it is just pretend.
    Boarding Room You can use it to board the enemy ship. To do that, you step on the pressure plates and it will teleport you to an empty room on the enemy ship, and from there, you can wreak havoc on the enemy spacecraft and kill some of their players, like the ones that operate the cannons. Or you can do things like blowing up parts of their ship, or destroy some of their important rooms, like breaking their power generator so that they will become sitting ducks. But remember, there will be lots of resistance and defences waiting for you, it ain’t gonna be eezee.
    Also, you can teleport back to your ship if you want, then you would have to use the enemy’s boarding room. But the good thing is that when you use the enemy’s teleporter, you consume some of their own power. Also, every time you teleport, the power is taken from the reserves.

    4 Empty Rooms If the enemy is teleporting/boarding your ship, they will spawn in one of these rooms. Then some of your team will have to help fight them and protect our vital systems, like the oxygen, engines, and power. But weapons can be considered important too, if you want to use them to take out the enemy’s systems and end the game before the enemy does to you.

    Escape Pods You get extra points if you escape through the escape pods before your spaceship is annihilated. You also get points for destroying the enemy team’s escape pods as well.

    What do I get points for?
    Escaping through escape pods
    Eliminating Enemy Players
    Destroying the enemy’s escape pods
    Winning the Game
    Participation
    Repairing a system

    Gameplay:
    Your team will fire arrows, fire charges, cannon balls, and tnt at the enemy ship. Hopefully, some of the cannon balls or tnt will hit some of the enemy systems. You cannot tell which part of the enemy ship is which room, so you have to guess. The engine room is usually very big, so your team would want to aim at a very bulky part of the enemy ship, hoping it is the engine room. if you manage to hit a vital system of the enemy’s, then it is extremely likely that lots of enemy players will be hurrying to repair their vital system. At this time, it may be a good time to board their ship because some of the enemy team is busy and distracted with fixing a very important system. It may also be a good idea to bring lots of TNT, and weapons with you, so that when your team boards, they can attack enemy players and defend themselves. Then, they can plant lots of TNT everywhere and blow up a small fraction of the enemy ship. Or just mine through wall of obsidian and destroy the power generator and frustrate the enemy.
    But this plan has to be perfectly timed and you need to make sure your team has the right equipment and enough energy to teleport you and some of your team.
    This is just one simple strategy, there are many more.

    How to win:
    If the enemy team’s ship has been destroyed, or the entire enemy team is dead or escaped.

    How to lose:
    Be a Jag.

    Also, between the two ships that are battling each other, there are some asteroids. They are a parkour course. You and your team can use them to get to the enemy ship as an alternative instead of teleporting. The bad thing is that the parkour course is dangerous, if you slip, you fall into the vacuum of space, (the void), and you will die and lose all your stuff. Also, the enemy can use the parkour course too. But the good things about using the parkour course to get across and over to the enemy ship, is that it doesn’t cost power, or energy, though it is slower.

    The spacecrafts are going to be very, very, big.

    If you are on the winning team, you get money as a reward for winning, and you also get more money based on your score(amount of points you have). So even if you lose, you get money.

    Minimum players for this minigame: 10, at least five players per team.
    Maximum players is 60. Seriously, the ships will be very big, big enough to make you want to explore them.

    Plugins needed: Cannons 2.0

    Game type: Strategy, PvP, and massive teamwork.

    It will be Ina different world. It is not a plugin, it is a minigame idea which uses a plugin.
    Your theory says: the bigger the plugin, the more lag.

    The idea seems interesting, but we all need to remember ECC is an economy server.

    This seems like it might make an interesting addition to the multi-server project but I'm on the fence about it otherwise.

    I think this minigame will be a good replacement for the survival games, because this minigame involves strategy, teamwork, and logic and smart tactics.
    In survival games you just avoid people with better gear, double team people, put people in crossfire, one shot people with unbalanced kits, and pick on people that look weak and just go around killing people.

    If you intend this to just fully replace survival games, a definite -1 from me. SG brings lots of new players, and donations to the server. Entirely replacing them with a complicated game that requires huge amounts of players to be most efficient (which is the vibe I'm getting) just isn't smart.

    Spaceship, Weapons Room, Armory, Storage room, Medical Bay, Power Generator Room, Oxygen Room, Engine Room, Boarding Room, Escape Pods, TNT. Tons of coding, a total of 6 plugins needed (you will say 1, but its 6 as all 6 are compacted into 1.), TNT causes lag, Oxygen needs new GUI, needs new item (oxygen tank), Engine room, engine needs a plugin to allow it to be repaired. All lead to 1 thing, MASSIVE LAG, why? You might ask. TNT causes lag, the whole space ship with everything in the plugin moving in it will cause alot of lag due to the amount of blocks moved, the lighting must be moved along with it which will cause alot of frame lag, players will suffocate in blocks due to ship moving in 'orbit' falling ship will cause players to glitch through ceiling unless forced to teleport down to the block below them, will be buggy, will have alot of glitches, takes alot of time making the plugins, will lag alot. Its practically making a whole new game by itself.

    No, there can be minor changes to this idea, this is just a draft. We can take away the TNT. The aircraft will not physically be flying or moving, it's pretend. The oxygen tanks, engines, are made out of several blocks. The ship will not actually be falling, it's just a timer that will count down. No actual falling, also, if the ships had to move, this would require client mods. This game only requires one plugin and lots of command blocks.

    For all of you guys who will complain about lag, Andrew said in his livestream that he would be running the mini games on a separate box.

    But not all the players attracted to the server by playing sg, might not like farming or mining and aren't interested in economy stuff

    Please clearly state that it will not be physically flying or moving, also please state that the ship will not actually be falling. If the ships had to move, client mods will not be required, world edit is more than enough to 'move' the ships.
    Command blocks require redstone to power, many redstone signals being sent over the map would mean that people with slow computers will have even lesser frames due to the large amount of lighting changes.
    This mini-game alone will lag that separate box.

    You had me until this. If you aren't interested in "economy stuff", why are you playing on an economy server?

    Not that I want you to leave. But it just kind of threw me for a pause.

    I haven't voted +-1 yet because my question is this: Is this a new game you have come up with, or is this something that is being played somewhere else that you liked. I am wondering if this has been tested anywhere.
