However, as Staff members generally live in the town for free, the town needs a source of income to renovate, update, build, and make things look nice. As well, being mostly Staff, not many users can get a plot in the town! Town is currently under construction (surface) and renovation (underground). The sooner you buy a plot, the cheaper it will be. You can get prices reduced - or completely taken away - if you volunteer to help out in the construction and/or renovation of the town! Every case differs, though, so please check out the town thread in the Town/Nation subforum and PM me! Also, you will need examples of your work, as I am looking for higher-quality. Make sure you have proof it is your work! First three plots to sell from below choices will close this round of sales. Next round will be in a few weeks/over a month, probably with higher prices. Updated the first post, added and removed some information. One plot is now a pre-built with multiple floors - including a small basement-like area (most homes will not have this). Anyone who donates a lot of materials / builds their own plot (large plots of higher quality) / volunteers to do work in the town can get discounts and/or free plots.
I would love to see the town, help out with labour and provide materials. I would also like to get a plot/house, whether it be by paying or through donations of time/resources.
Walking to the town is fairly quick; flying quicker (easy directions on the town thread), and if you prod at Kuke when he is online, he might be able to tp you there. I can as well, next time I am on. Labour and materials needed are listed on the town thread; if you'd like to help with anything specific there, let me know.
Then what exactly are you looking to do/give to help StaffCity? Materials I need are listed on the main thread, and jobs are listed there, too (some people already plan on clearing out underground space, but there are other jobs available as well).
I would like a plot, but I don't really feel like dumping money on you How many materials do you need of the following?: • Cobble + Smooth • Stone Bricks • Glass / Panels If you could give me a grand total of each of these items needed I could probably supply the entire amount, granted I get a discount on the plot.
Unknown on the cobble + smooth and stone bricks... Any amount would be helpful, though. Not sure on glass and panels, but a single chest worth would be a good starting point for what I need it for currently. At the moment I don't have numbers on anything, as I need the underground expanded first. :/ Depending on how much you're willing to donate will change how much of a discount there is, and if you plan on either of the two pre-builts or making your own house. Building something yourself would nearly take away the cost, if there's a fair amount of material donation. This is because I won't be spending the money or time on the building. :b A pre-built, though... I'd say a full double-chest of any materials(s) can take off 4k-7k, unless you randomly throw in more expensive materials (would take off more). xP I go by generosity/user rather than material worth; I'm "desperate," I suppose (i.e, I'm broke and need stuff, lol). Demand of the item highly changes it, too.
Hmm, well I would rather prefer a pre-built... Let's assume I can get you two double chests of glass blocks, three double chests of cobble, three double chests of smooth stone, and three double chests of stone bricks. I could guess that would chop the price down a little. If it's still not down to a level my balance is happy with I could probably throw in a double chest of red bricks. Because, I really loved staffcity the first time I wandered in there and it would be a bit of an honor to have a plot. ....oh wow. If you are able and willing to donate all of that (especially the glass and red bricks), that would be good enough for that plot. I did not think you had that much stuff to offer, lol. Would you like to see that plot first? On default texture pack it is not... "pretty." Looks nice on a lot of other textures, though. (I don't know what you use/if you will like it.)
Oh yes, I really want to see this place get started up again I'd love to take a peek at it tomorrow. But I would like to tell you that the materials won't be able to be gotten right away. I'm assuming from what you've said the pre-built isn't built yet, so this helps me out, since it'll be a few days before I decide to move in. It might be a day or two before they can all be collected (especially the bricks) but I can get some of it sooner then later. Anything particular you'd like delivered first?
Tomorrow can work. And the pre-built you are curious about is actually built! I didn't mean to imply it was not finished - and "undecorated" means the interior doesn't have things like tables/chairs/beds/etc. I can wait, though, especially if you need time. Only glass at the moment - I have some paths underground that still need it. Otherwise, I am not in a rush for anything else yet. (Besides, this means I gotta make a storage room somewhere to store so many chests, haha.)
Ah, I thought you needed materials to build it first. I'll be sure to get the glass to you first, and take your time building that storage Also, do you have any tp or /back with which to transport all this? It's a bit of a hike to the town and this is indeed a lot of stuff, I also don't have any donations.
I have tp and /back as a Mod (which I wouldn't want to abuse too much), but I could probably make Kuke or someone do it all for me. :b As well, I could set a temporary home and switch between it and my own, then remove it once things are transferred.
