To get a better idea of how other players view the people applying for a staff application I have a thought. It should be required to put a simple pole at the top of their application that states "Would you recommend (username) to become apart of the ECC staff?" or "Do you think (username) would be a good addition to ECC staff?" [] Yes [] No The only reason I suggest this is because the current staff doesn't always see how some people act toward other individuals or how they play the game. It gives the people reviewing the application to see how other players perceive the applicants instead of going solely on their answers. This is in no way a reflection toward anyone that has applied or will applied for the current staff applications.
Please explain Pwnzor101. If you're getting "no" voted for you, then you probably did something to that person. People can only have one vote nor is this a major part in the in selection of the applicants. There is "like" "agree" "winner" voting but nothing that says "I do not agree" or "no"; just a way to let people voice their opinion (in private) without having to comment
I think this just takes away from the value of having comments that approve and/or disapprove of the quality of an app. If you have a poll, votes for/against an app become ambiguous and easily messed with; "Buying poll votes 1k ea" <- Obviously an extreme example. It makes it more difficult to distinguish between honest and dishonest replies
I'm not saying everyone is dishonest, i'm just saying that there are dishonest people. Not even that, to me at least, it seemed blatantly obvious that people do try to advertise to at least redirect attention their apps, ex. "Please look over my app, any positive comment helps!" I wouldn't be surprised if there were those that offered "incentives".
It could also transform apps into a mere popularity contest. People would vote yes for friends and well known people. Staff is not this. Ratings are already a popular contest in its self so I don't see this being very useful.
