I said no in the poll because clar shouldn't apply for mastercheft, she should however apply for master chef
Poll closed? I wanted to push the Yesses to 20! I made loaded potato soup after hearing about hers. Yum!
Yes, seriously you should. I know you've got a strong passion for food, and your dishes always used to look amazing. But apply, even if you don't get on, you can at least say you've tried, it'd probs be great fun and you'll meet some people who share the same passion as you along the way.
Based on how great that soup looks, it holds great promise. Before I could make an actual recommendation, taste tests would be required. Please feel free to send a sample to me Clar - I will be more than happy to pay for shipping
Important question @ClarinetPhoenix -- Which of the MasterChef judges is your favorite? This has a correct answer.
Alright, Some of my more recent cooking adventures, ngl - I cook several times a week but I don't take pictures of everything. Sometimes I am literally just eating scrambled eggs w/ cheese because you can't go wrong with eggs. Anyway: Hot Pot broth w/ some tofu, wontons, mushrooms and well marbled chuck-eye steak cut thin. I didn't make the wontons - they're from the freezer section. But I did make the broth - and cheated, ramen seasoning, chicken bullion, ginger, water, green onion, cilantro, red curry paste and garlic - still came out wonderful and just enough heat to hit my threshold but still be incredibly enjoyable to me. Mae Ploy Red Curry Paste is pretty hot stuff - but excellent flavor. On the side there you can see one of my favorite fried foods - tofu, dipped in a seasoned flour slurry then coated in panko and shredded coconut, always eaten with sweet chili sauce. Tofu doesn't take long to cook, so I fry to golden, or a darker golden brown and call it a day. Don't be fooled by this soup color, its a rich Hungarian Mushroom Soup - you're supposed to cook the mushrooms until the juices come out, those combined with your milk and herbs create your "soup". Don't forget the hot Hungarian paprika either for more depth of flavor. I personally just LOVE mushrooms so a mushroom soup is right up my alley. On the left there is a grilled ham and cheddar w/ tomato sandwich - on...rosemary sourdough. Good stuff! This was a few weeks ago, but I'm rather a fan of GRILLED SANDWICHES! This is a roast beef and swiss with some au jus, guac and chips are pre-made unfortunately. I don't always have time to make EVERYTHING from scratch :< Back at it again with the soup, this is a leek and potato soup, which I use my emulsifier (basically a high speed hand blender) to blend together and make very smooth, its especially good if you add ham to it, on the left there is just some buttered and toasted asagio sourdough. annnd that's all for now.
